  1. Francine looked like she could suck a golf ball through a garden hose, worked for me.
  2. I liked Bill Mercer because he had a great voice for what he was doing. As mentioned, he was not a great match announcer, but his show wrap arounds were always good.
  3. I'm not so sure of this. Mike Quackenbush said they had interest in Reckless Youth and himself but they declined joining ECW because of the drug culture in the back. A lot of those newer indy guys might have passed on working there for similar reasons. I wouldn't believe anything Quack said. Yeah, I don't buy "I wouldn't work somewhere because people do drugs backstage" at all . If that was true there'd be no promotion these guys would work for. It's not like working in ECW had a caveat where you had to participate in getting fucked up to work there.
  4. What exactly does "athleticism" even mean?
  5. The James Storm interview is fucking great.
  6. From this day on, I shall be referred to as "a scholar, a saint, and big in Japan".
  7. Big ups to Kelly for the killer sweet Superman photoshop. I laugh everytime I see it.

I think there are a couple of levels. One is that people do follow things on a business level. The other is something you can appreciate a bit more and that's build and payoff. Why do Austin vs Brock on a random Raw when you can spend weeks building up to it on PPV. I think most people would be fine if you spent weeks building up to it and making it matter for a well-hyped Raw. Sort of like the NXT specials, but it means less if you just toss it on TV without build. The problem with Austin/ Brock was that there was no build. What Im talking about is people actually complaining about seeing cool matches for free. It's silly.

Why do some fans complain about them "giving away money matches on TV"? What's it to you?
  10. Adam Rose has been on TV for two weeks, period. I'd give a guy a bit more time before screaming "Flop" at him. Just stop having Cole dance and say how cool he is, cause THAT'S the kiss of death. And Rusev is being booked properly. He's been working his way up the roster. And I think Bo can get his deal over because it's based on getting booed. As long as he can get the crowd to boo him, his gimmick is golden. It doesn't matter why they're booing, either. Just so long as people boo and shit on him then he's good.
  11. It's REALLY hard to be a ref who is part of the show doing all kinds of his own "ref spots " and reactions without looking like a total douche. Like Hanson in ROH and JAPW back in the day. But Hildebrand pulled it off incredibly.
  12. Nikita should have won the belt at Starrcade.
  13. Am I supposed to feel bad for someone making 30 grand a year now? I know it's not being rich , but it's not exactly being poor.
  14. That's an interesting thing to look at. If scalpers grab em, then whoever pays scalper fees must REALLY want to be at ringside, so it's either people with money or people who are not paying the gas bill that month to get wrestling tix. But comps for people who don't really care and the like is something interesting. That explains how you hear a crowd going nuts but see a bunch of apathetic folks on camera.
  15. This doesn't address the question that Loss posed... how do they attract a better demo to increase ad revenue? Stop being Pro Wrestling? It's odd because this "demo" isn't exactly exclusively watching NOVA, PBS , and "smart " TV. College educated wealthy people watch a ton of shitty stupid TV. I think that people with money do watch. Those ringside seats aren't cheap.
  16. I just think that wrestling is something that needs to grab you as a kid or teen. That's a big reason why Attitude era and NWO WCW were so big. A generation that got hooked as kids got to come back to a "grown up" version.
  17. I have no idea what you're referencing, man. Haha, did I say something like that and forget it?
  18. I really doubt that anyone, despite their education or financial status, is going to decide to start watching Pro Wrestling as an adult because it ditches crazy shit and becomes more like a real sport.
  19. Dude, Ive been hearing that since the Seventies. I'll believe it when I see it.
  20. By the way, I'll make dinner for any of you people if you find yourself in Colorado.
  21. If only there was a positive spin style podcaster out there who is completely comfortable on the air...

I don't see why people should be wringing their hands about Roman Reigns eventual singles career . It doesn't exist and yet folks are all concerned about it. Seriously, it doesn't exist. Why be all obsessed with something that hasn't happened to the point of letting it effect your watching of him in the Shield now? Speculation is inevitable, of course, but it's become ridiculous. Just enjoy watching the Shield become ultra white hot babyfaces who constantly get over on Evolution.

God Damn, The Shield is the best act in wrestling.
  24. I watch most of each show, besides recaps and ads, cause it's a TV Show. I want to know what's going on at all levels,
