Maybe "appear" means a pretaped sit down bit played during tributes that are played throughout the show. I'm as much "Fuck Hogan's racist ass" as the next guy, but I don't have a problem with him saying some nice things about his pal. How do you do a Mean Gene tribute without Hogan involved somehow?

If they put out this whole show, or any parts of this show, it'd be a double Christmas present situation. Again, my Ma took me and some pals to this show as a Christmas present when I was 15. I got a fucking World Title change live in a time where Leap Years were more common. It was one of the best Christmas presents I ever got.

Ok, that's funny. I think you were going for a factual joke, and if so? You killed. If not, that reads like something Data would say on TNG, which also kills. Allow me to correct myself. They are TV writers writing a TV show that airs on TV, who aren't TV writers whenever TV writers go on strike because of stupid WWF bullshit. Actually, how does that work for writers who are part of the union who go to work there? That's interesting. I can't imagine that any writers already in the union would leave it to write wrestling.

They're starting to drop stuff from the Pro Wrestling USA show from the Meadowlands my Mom brought me and two pals to as Christmas present. It's the show where Hansen beat Martel for the AWA title. I looked up the card and remembered that I've seen Carlos Colon live.

They're not "ex TV writers", they're TV writers. These are TV shows, therefore, they're TV writers. TV writers dealing with Vince McMahon, so there ya go. This backlash at the idea that it's hard to write TV shows that air live 52 weeks a year is bonkers. I'm not saying RAW doesn't stink right now, and Roman getting sick again is the main reason why. I watched it on Hulu for the first time in weeks, and Wow, it stunk. But Smackdown has been fucking fantastic lately. Anyway. The only other scripted shows that go all year long are Soap Operas, and I watched enough of them with my Mom to know that it really is hard to write that kind of TV

WWE TV 12/03 - 12/09 Bolsonaro made me abandon my sports team

You know what fucking ruled? Smackdown this week. I want more Samoa Joe PSA's, and I want a Daniel Bryan/ Miz alliance. -

I enjoyed the Christian episode. It got me through a long and rough work day on the road. Even when I was calling bullshit on things, I was engaged. -
And it was a pretty great show. I'm at a point where I only have so much time to watch TV shows and I don't watch weekly wrestling as insanely religiously like I once did. But I watch SD and it's great. Becky, AJ, Bryan, and Joe ? And The Bar, Usos, And New Day? And The Miz? Fuck, that's the show I'm finding time for. SD has all my favorite acts right now, it feels like 2002.

What was the greatest raw of the attitude era?
Johnny Sorrow replied to iamthedoctor's topic in Pro Wrestling
Mankind winning the belt is my favorite memory of the era, so that makes it the best show. I didn't see Tony ruin it, or read anything about it as we didn't have a computer. To me, it was my favorite wrestler, who I never thought would win the belt, winning the motherfucking belt. I was 29 years old jumping around my living room celebrating with my friends. Friends who were in no way as invested, but they were also going nuts. -
World Cast: A WCCW Review
Johnny Sorrow replied to Ricky Jackson's topic in Publications and Podcasts
If you think you know racist shit in wrestling, you ain't seen nothing until you've seen the World Class show we break down on this show. Between Killer Karl Krupp, The Freebirds, and the Von Erich's attempts at not being racist being racist, it's a plethora of racist hilarity. Oh, and midgets! -
WWE TV 11/19 - 11/25 Justice for SmackDown tag teams
Johnny Sorrow replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
Well. I'm always willing to give anyone a break on shit if "it was a joke". But when there's nothing remotely resembling a joke involved with it, then not so much. -
Daniel Bryan as a star post-comeback: Pushes, Feuds, Matches and etc.
Johnny Sorrow replied to KawadaSmile's topic in WWE
I'm giggling at the idea that HHH and Stephanie live with Vince and Linda. -
I loved this show. There was shit I hated and made fun of mixed with Nia being awesome, Rousey/ Flair, and Bryan/ Brock blowing me away.

Wins and losses don't matter. Dream is a star.

I was disappointed with the Regal show. It was boring, and that has nothing to do with the subject matter. -
Why are "some people " "disputing " the notions that Dave actually said?
-
Basically just says his taste in what he likes changes. Which is cool, but also just adds to the pile of reasons why no one should just subscribe to one person's opinions on performance and art.

That LWT bit is going to gain traction. The first one was using WWE as a throwaway joke, complete with an "Isn't wrestling gay?" line. But this was researched and really felt like someone on the staff might be a wrestling fan, or maybe some sane fans reached out to express their disgust. Vince doesn't give a shit, and if he watched the rest of the episode he'd probably be loving Oliver taking down lawyers/ DA's. Vince may love that he has a great legal team, but he hates lawyers. But Stephanie and HHH do notice this shit, and must be wanting to go into full back out mode, no matter what they say publicly, or HHH working the show. And Cena saying " Nope.", is huge. It's really the biggest development at this point.

I love that Trish and Lita have matching gear, and the heels Alice In Wonderland gear is spectacular.
