World Class Championship Wrestling on the Network

Yeah, they played an outdoor venue in Lynn, Massachusetts in June 1985. The Apter mags made a big deal out of it. -

I just saw RAW on Hulu all the way through and I'm happy they turned Braun back heel. I hated babyface Braun. They had to do it briefly to ride the short term reactions, but he's a "fucking heel". -
I assumed he was referencing Larry's awesome, stoned, and rambling HOF speech.

I love Owens. He's one of my favorite wrestlers. And yeah, you add in the real life family man stuff to his constant bumping, you get a Foleyish face. In what's probably not a coincidence, Foley is one of my favorite performers ever. -
Vince only gives certain lines and points and words to push. He's doing a lot back there. It's not like he's reading scripts into guys ears live.

WWE TV 08/20 - 08/26 THE BIG DOG IS THE UNIVERSAL CHAMPION

Next PPV is Hell In The Cell. It's the perfect show to do the six man right away, cause the hate filled HITC match for a belt is AJ/ Joe. And if they do a six man in the cell as well, then that's fine as well, cause it's HITC. There's lots of other matches to have besides the Universal and IC. Especially at a show built around a gimmick. -
As you've pointed out, we rarely are on the same page. But here you go. Dave at his core is a wrestling fan. If he's so excited for wrestling that he starts throwing stars around like a ninja in a 1970's Saturday afternoon Kung Fu movie, then that's great. Good for him. Who cares, really ? If that really bothers people, then just make your own star ratings. Wrestling is a performance. Everyone experiences it differently.

The Freebirds didn't always wrestle in Six-Man tags. They were spread around the card. So I'd imagine that they still have their solo themes and gear. They'll enter together for promos to Shield music and wearing matching T Shirts, and the six mans will be occasional. They're going to do a six-man right away, but not all the time. -

It just occurred to me. It doesn't matter if The Shield are heels, babyfaces, or an Austin-esque mixture. It's now clearly the Roman era, for lack of a better term, and he's never been more universally loved or hated than when The Shield was together. Because that's when he was always fucking cool either way. Same goes for Rollins, and for Ambrose, who surprisingly, never had a heel run. But Ambrose was always hot and cold as far as total coolness factor. But this reinvented Ambrose is pretty awesome so far. I love that they're saving his first promo for later. Cause he's a great promo, and I'd imagine he's reinvented that as well as his character. -

And as much as I want this to be "The Shield Is Taking Over" as a heel group with Braun as the chasing babyface, I'm sure it's not going to be that simple of a dynamic. Hope I'm wrong, cause the idea that this is now the finale of The Shield taking over as top guys, ala The Horsemen is pretty cool. I just think if that's what they're doing, it doesn't mean they aren't also going to feud with heels as well. -

It would explain Rollins Thanos gear at SummerSlam. -
WWE SUMMERSLAM 2018 THE BIGGEST PARTY OF THE SUMMER

I just saw a close up pic of Rollins gold boot. It was the Infinity Gauntlet, and now I get that he was wearing Thanos inspired gear. -
Oh, and the one thing that annoyed me was EC3 being the good guy going in to the show. Why? He's clearly a heel . But by the end there was a bit of a double turn going on so fine. Dream is the best.

I fucking loved this show, especially Gargano vs Ciampa. I can't wait for part four. I like long term feuds that go on forever. I grew up with that.

Vince used to call Albano a fat slob regularly .

Wyatt has been a star for years. You just listed the proof. And there was no way this team with Hardy wasn't supposed to end with a break up and final feud to finish the story. One where Bray finally attacks Matt when he, the crazy man chooses to. The tag team and "face" turn for Bray is part of a long term story. If Matt is this hurt, the story is gonna get rushed to the third act.

I really like Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose. They're just slowly getting better and better. Shit, I love Sonya for that slight "botch" where Becky was doing her leg drop sequence that requires the foe to just lie there, but Sonya was selling what happened to set it up. Shit like that may look like a mistake, and it may be, but to me it makes it all seem more real.

Wait, what? Oh. I get it. Yeah....go fuck yourself.

RAW, even on HULU , has been rough lately. But this show had some great shit. I loved the last segment.

Yeah, no one is saying he isn't stupid and stupid people retweeting fucked up shit on Twitter is a thing. Dave Meltzer is a smart guy who often is less than smart on Twitter. Orton is also married into a Mexican- American family, if I remember correctly from his interview from the Edge and Christian pod. Shit is complicated. Still doesn't mean he shouldn't get canned or punished if that's what happens. It's possible, believe it or not, that showing your dick to people crosses all lines.

Which was all about Cyndi Lauper and Mr. T.

I'd say it's the best time to be a wrestling fan since 1986. That's when there were so many shows available on free TV it was amazing. I had WWF, Crockett, WCCW, Mid-South/ UWF, AWA, and others on TV every week. It feels like today is very similar. There's a boom going on. And it won't last, but it's clearly happening. And that makes this a great time to be a wrestling fan, there's so much to choose from. Shit, I consider GLOW a wrestling show, and it's amazing.

Ah, there's lots of great people in wrestling. It's just like any other industry. And I think as time goes on, we're going to see more and more performers who aren't dumb and racist . More people want to be wrestlers now because they love it and want to perform in front of crowds as entertainers than ever before. The entertainment community tends to skew more liberal, and wrestlers have always had the philosophy of "make money" first and foremost, putting aside any dumb hateful feelings they had about others. I think that's another benefit of the Performance Center. They teach these folks how to be professional in a publicly traded company. And you get to see what happens when you can't be taught. That's why Big Cazz is coming to a high school gym near you. And that's why they're "investigating " this Orton story. They have to address it.

Did Dave actually write/ say that the ROH show sold out MSG faster than WrestleMania 1 did? Cause that's fucking hilarious. It's like a tag line from a critic on a movie poster that once examined, makes no sense. Yes, I'm sure it did sell out faster. Those internet speeds in 1984 were slow as fuck.
