Did you mean for that to come across as impolite? It's difficult for me to give exact dates. I have a small company teaching private English lessons, my schedule has to be very flexible. My wife is a professional midwife, so her schedule is nuts. So: My work life and my family life are both impossible to predict most of the time. As such, I never know when I'll have time to write, so I prefer to keep things relatively flexible. That being said, It's only fair to let people know precise tour dates so that they can schedule around them. Hopefully, it's OK if I end up posting something a day or two ahead of or behind the posted schedule, but just ask everyone to imagine that it fits in the schedule. Sooooooooo: January; Big card on the 4th, then January 11-26th or so. Big end-of -tour cards on the 23rd, 24th, and 26th February 3rd through 27th. Semi-finals and finals on the 25th and 27th. (It's the tag fest. Dos Caras and Canek will have a VERY big role in that. Might need them, specifically, to do some promo work in the days after) March 8th through 23rd. Big Fukuoka show on the 23rd April 8th through 26th. Big Tokyo Show on the 26th. Festival of Champions: May 8th through June 21st. Big Sapporo Show May 29th, Big Yokohama Show June 21st. IWGP CLIMAX: July 1st through 28th. Semi-finals and Final: June 26th and 28th in Tokyo. August: 8th through 22nd. Big Osaka Show on the 22nd. Super Juniors Tournament, 22nd through 31st. Finals in Tokyo August 31st. September 7th through 27th. Big 3 Title Defense shows in Fukuoka on the 9th, Saitama on the 16th, and Osaka on the 27th. Overseas Tour: October: 14th through 28th. (Canek and Dos Caras can be free all month if you want them). November 10th through 24th. Big Tokyo Card on the 24th. December 3rd through 26th: Road to January 4th. Major Osaka Card on the 26th. If these dates conflict with anyone else's Big Shows, freelance dates, or other plans please let me know ASAP and I will be happy to flex things around. In terms of my writing, I plan to do weekly TV and Monthly Big Card write-ups, but in the flexible first-person narrative style I'm using now. Most likely dates for me to be off by a day or two are the write ups for the big monthly shows. I'll try to do them up early, save them on Word, then post them on the day as much as possible. No that's perfect. Sorry, was in a rush and typed it horribly.

January dates, so I know when to book Canek and Caras and know when I can't.

I always plan out a major card, whether it's 3 or 6 months away. Then I have the people in those matches work towards those matches.

Did Bret ever say himself why he didn't sue, even just to extract a token settlement? The somewhat obvious reason everyone always mentions is that Bret attacked Vince afterwards, so he was afraid of the countersuit. Why sue? He was leaving anyways and punched him out for revenge.
-
Has Bret's contract ever actually been published in any lawsuit? The most common formulation I see quoted is that Bret had "reasonable creative control" over his character for the last 30 days prior to any early termination of his contract, which certainly wouldn't give him veto power over anything. If that's the case, there's a pretty obvious counterargument. He refused to lose in Canada, but the only PPV during the last 30 days of his contract was in Canada, so he was effectively refusing to lose on PPV. Given the way title changes happened in the WWF at that time, it's easy to see that as an unreasonable request. Reasonable was defined as Bret and Vince agree.
-
I hate when this happens, but I agree with . I don't think anybody was really "right" in this situation. It was a "heel angle." Bret had a contract, Vince asked him to break it and leave. In that contract there is a clause that both parties have to agree with all booking if the contract is ending. Case closed, it's really not that complicated.
-
Holy shit people think Vince was right or that Montreal was a work in 2016? This has been debunked over and over again. Bret had reasonable creative control (reasonable being agreed upon by Bret/Vince) and a month left on his contract.

Looking at Japan tour dates, do they not have shows till March?

Is WWE a monopoly? Yes Are wrestlers being trained properly? Yes Has WWE philosophy on smaller guys changed? Yes Can a wrestler make a living without WWE? Yes What is the role of selling in wrestling in this day and age? Just as important as ever, the most important. What is the Performance Center's impact on future generations? Better trained wrestlers for WWE. -
What's the roster cap at officially?

BINGO! Mystery is what is missing among other things. And storylines that actually develop instead of just a hot angle and then three months of no progress and three PPV matches that are carbon copies of each other. Smackdown has been pretty good building long term storylines and even has a current mystery (who attacked Nikki).

Ray Mendoza has been named head trainer of CMLL and has announced his first student in Miguel Perez Jr. from Puerto Rico. Mendoza thinks Perez has great promise and an interesting look and it helps that he is the son of the legendary Miguel Perez, who is one of the greatest draws in the history of Madison Square Gardens. Perez Jr. will start with some smaller arenas, but don't be surprised if he wrestles at Arena Mexico by summer time.

I can't handle 20 titles and wanted the fresh start with the new name, that came from leaving the NWA.
-
That should be fine. Just take Migeul Yes!! A really nice undercard up and coming rudo to join the roster.
-
Can I get in on this, there is a few people there who worked in CMLL and they would be cool to have. EDIT: or... Migeul Perez Jr. is left and undrafted, can I take him?

Big news coming out of Emresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre (EMLL) during their annual Christmas break. Everything started when Salvador "Chavo" Lutteroth Jr. retired as promoter leaving his nephew Paco Alonso (grandson of Salvador Lutteroth) to take over. Alonso made great waves immediately by mending fences with Francisco Flores and Ray Mendoza who had left in 1975 to form Lucha Libre Internacional (later called UWA). EMLL and UWA will be united under one banner as Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). CMLL also pulled out of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and no longer recognizes their champions. This new era deserves a new legacy, and the NWA is now in our past. The Mexican National Champions will be the titles recognized by the CMLL going forward. This leaves a lot of excitement in the air for the next Super Viernes (Super Friday) on January 4th, 1985 at Arena Mexico with new talent and new leadership. It may take several Fridays before we know what this new CMLL is all about. Paco Alonso made it clear the schedules would remain the same and Super Viernes would remain the biggest show of the week, with the highlights airing on Television on Sunday afternoons.
-
Yep, sounds good. Way under the 46 limit, as CMLL runs about a 5 match card consisting of trios, which is 30 people. So more like a 34 person roster. As long as I don't have to run things, and write the shows mostly only, I am good. More than that, is too much time for me, unfortunately.
-
I'd personally love to have Mexico involved. We'd have to work out a few kinks but I'd be all for it. I'd be cool with maybe like one foreigner, so it's not too bad. Rosters are untouched in this game, so it's an easy start. Just let me know roster limits or whatever.
-
Question? Would anyone object if I take UWA/CMLL merge them and run Mexico as one promotion in 1985? You'd get one Arena Mexico show a week, filled with trios and the occasional angle leading to a hair or mask match.
-
Maybe... let's just cut it down to America, and drop foreign promotions? If I get ECW and life is not crazy anymore, I can do weekly shows.

Cable subscribers in Canada were cut byv25% last year.

Why? That was reportedly the reason he was fired in the first place. In this particular instance, it's a relevant topic to bring up. Looks like he's not signed anyway (unless he's swerving everyone with his tweet), so moot point. If he is signed, I can't see him returning as KO, for obvious reasons. Hopefully they'd let him be Chris Hero this time. That was rumoured, it wasn't about weight after the story came out. Did you joint he board after May? We did two years of debate and discussion before voting on that list.
