  1. We all know Dalton Castle is the future of wrestling, so why can't we say it. Dalton Castle should be the biggest star in the WWE in 5 years.
  2. What a nifty angle with Garvin's title. I can't wait to see Iceman get his hands on Garvin finally!
  3. Awesome. If anybody needs minis, feel free and I can forfeit them for a day. Jack Tunney is the VP of the NWA in charge of Mini Operations.
  4. As for writing shows, I have my big matches planned for all major shows for all of 1983. I have the big program planned out till July 1st 1984. From there each month I book the whole Maple Leaf Gardens show and then build TV and house shows to that. I write the show when I post it though.
  5. Maple Leaf Wrestling presents Premium Action September 1, 1983 The opening video package of Premium Action opens the show featuring clips of: Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, Wahoo McDaniel, Stephen Petipas & Rocky Johnson, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, NWA Canadian Tag Team Champions Ivan Koloff & Super Russian, Leo Burke and ends with a clip of Rick Martel being awarded the NWA Canadian Title. We go to Billy Red Lyons and Jesse "The Body" Valentine are in a studio and welcome us to Premium Action. The huge show in Maple Leaf Gardens finished on Tuesday and we are bringing you three huge matches from that show. Beginning with the NWA World Midget Title. 1. NWA World Midget Champion Little Tokyo vs Tiger Jackson (from August 30, 1983 in Maple Leaf Gardens) Tiger has his early advantage stopped by salt to the eyes. From there Tokyo works over Tiger, but he keeps kicking out. Tiger makes a huge comeback and looks to have won the title after a crossbody, but Tokyo gets his foot on the rope. From there Tokyo pulls the tights to keep the title. Winner - Little Tokyo @ 13:52 Commercial #1 Back from the back and Ventura raves about Tokyo keeping his title in a great match. Lyons talks about the tights being pulled and Ventura states "win if you can, lose if you must, but always cheat". That brings us to our second match, a huge battle royal. 2. Battle Royal featuring: Andre the Giant, Leo Burke, Jerry Brisco, Tony Garea, Tiger Conway Jr., Bobby Bass, Al Tomko, Gary Royal, Killer Karl Krupp, Paul Christy, Angelo Mosca Jr. & Rick Patterson (from August 30, 1983 in Maple Leaf Gardens) Andre the Giant and Leo Burke are the two biggest stars in the match and are the last two left. While alone they have a short and fun battle, before Andre tosses Burke for the win. Winner - Andre the Giant @ 12:26 Commercial #2 Back from the break and both Lyons and Ventura have to give props to Leo Burke for standing toe to toe with Andre. They then talk about the Wahoo McDaniel vs Greg Valentine and Don Carson family feud. Breaking down all the previous brawls. All of that came to a head in Maple Leaf Gardens and as a bonus we got the reveal of the Super Russian in a huge surprise. Jack Tunney will be making an announcement on this situation on Wrestling Night in Canada on Sunday, but after this break you will see this situation. Commercial #3 3. NWA Canadian Tag Team Champions Ivan Koloff & Super Russian w/ Don Carson vs Wahoo McDaniel & Buzz Tyler in a Steel Cage (from August 30, 1983 in Maple Leaf Gardens) As Buzz Tyler makes his way to the ring he his ambushed by Ivan Koloff & Super Russian. They destroy him with a chain to the legs and then wrap it around the ringpost and follow it up with a figure-four leglock. Wahoo McDaniel & Alexis Smirnoff come to ringside, but it is too late. Tyler can not wrestle and is helped to the back by the medics. Jack Tunney comes to ringside to discuss the situation with Wahoo and then Koloff, Super Russian and Carson. The ring announcer makes the announcement that the match will happen, but Alexis Smrinoff will take Buzz Tyler's place. The match starts with Koloff and Wahoo and they go right at it. Wahoo with some vicious chops, but the Super Russian hits Wahoo from behind and the Russians gain the advantage through some double teams. They attack Wahoo's leg, just like they did to Tyler. Using a chain and the cage to beat him down. Wahoo can barely stand, but keeps fighting back. After Koloff was going for a lariat, Wahoo ducks and Koloff nails the cage. This finally gives Wahoo the chance to make the tag to Smirnoff. Koloff and Super Russian back off as Smirnoff gets ready to get all of his revenge. However, instead Smirnoff attacks Wahoo. Koloff jumps Wahoo as well and at this moment Super Russian removes his mask and it's GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE. They beat down Wahoo and the medics are really slow to get out here, because they were helping out Buzz Tyler. Security also comes out eventually get the cage open and save Wahoo. Wahoo leaves on a stretcher while Ivan Koloff, Greg Valentine, Alexis Smirnoff and Don Carson celebrate with the NWA Canadian Tag Team Titles. No Contest @ 8:04 Commercial #4 Back from the break they speculate what actions Jack Tunney will take on Sunday and wonder what Wahoo will do, when he recovers. Is Koloff and Valentine the most dominate tag team in wrestling?
  6. Discuss here.
  7. Discuss here.
  8. Fair enough.
  9. Why does anybody still listen to Dave? Between this and his horrible match opinions is it just for backstage news? The occasional history piece?
  10. Better booking so that they can get over, instead of being put in shitty situations.
  11. If anybody wants to send me jobbers to get knocked out by Joel Deaton that would be great. Any day of the week except Wed/Thu would be cool.
  12. Recast the command deck of the USS Enterprise-D with wrestlers. Who is: Captain Jean-Luc Picard? Commander William Riker? Chief of Engineering Geordi La Forge? Chief of Security Worf? Doctor Beverly Crusher? Councelor Deanna Troi? Head science officer Liet. Commander Data? If you would prefer, just recast those ship positions with wrestlers, instead of those character.
  13. Great show. Flair-Freebirds is bubbling! Up and down though, great stuff.
  14. AWESOME FINISH to Hogan-Patera, I love that. By the way Martel is now the AWA Canadian and NWA Canadian Champ. When will he start to get consideration for Wrestler of the Year?
  15. Nobody is against that. I think if you take over a promotion you should take their freelance spot as well.

    Memphis

You have done a great job in capturing the essence of Memphis wrestling. I can't imagine how cool a Ladd/Lawler feud would be.
  17. Is Jake Roberts the person who has benefited the most from this project?
  18. The Fantastics added new life to this company and when the return for Murdoch/Fuchi comes in that will help too. It's a nice slow and steady company and I am enjoying so far.
  19. A highly gimmicked show, but I liked it. The show you built up is pretty cool. It's fun to see Martel married to Bravo in Canada and married to Flair in America. A pretty loaded show, but what BEEF in that battle royale! Can't wait for that show.
  20. I really really hate the beat the clock challenges.
  21. I still think a long IC Title reign would be the best idea.
  22. It's just not on podcasts, that is what it is like to hang out with him.
  23. Have at it.
  24. Can I pass again? Pass!
