  1. Adams sure gave a whole lot to Austin, who's sporting great Saved by the Bell tights. Can't get more early 90's than this. He does look quite rough again and he does those odd full rotation each time he throws a punch or elbow. Jeannie is all bitchy, I love her. This is more an angle continuation than a strong match, but it serves its purpose.
  2. That's probably Pogo not wanting to do a job, so that was the shit finish planned I'd think. Fun to have a WAR thread in 2017. Brings back memories of buying some random WAR tapes so to see the random matches Dean was raving about on early DVDVR, and loving most of it. Randomness is sorely missed in today's wrestling, because everybody kinda works the same everywhere (or consciously works "different" as a gimmick or tribute). From today's perspective, WAR seems even more random that it did 20 years ago.
  3. Why have Cena vs Nak on PPV when you can have a bunch of multi-matches that have mostly been done already, the 52682th AJ vs Owens match (leading to Shane the wanker having yet another stupid match), Jinder Mahal in a title match and a showcase of FX dumbfuckery and "creepy weirdo shit" in Wyatt vs DemonFinn ? Armchair bookers...
  4. Tiger Ali Singh was supposed to be the Canindian Bret Hart. 20 years passed and the guy they finally put in the spot is barely a step above Tiger Ali in term of ability. More roids though. That has to count for something. All kidding aside, this whole thing is a stupid debacle. TNA had a better India marketing plan. TNA !! Maybe Dixie can help out.
  5. What was the point of King Mabel ?
  6. EP 23 got me back in the mood with four fun matches. Highlight was clearly Pindora vs Mascarita Sagrada Jr., with a completely ridiculous spot. Saltador freaky matwork against Marty the Moth was another highlight. Fenix vs Mariposa was worked as well as it could considering the characters basically (with Fenix aiming at N°1 babyface spot, which he always did better than Puma to me anyway). I love the fact they are involving Melissa Santos more, with the trigger pulled on the Marty the stalker storyline that was just always a theme. You don't need a fake cult and nonsensical gibberish to try and be creepy. Marty's vignette was downright disgusting. This is quite promising. More Rey vs Mundo buildup, and this is simple yet totally effective. Just stylish training vignettes with promos. No Dario stuff and I didn't even notice, that's how fun and easy to watch this episode was.
  7. Classic Austin already. I've seen better beatings, but Adams is making the most out of it and makes Austin looks great. The mace was quite bitchy. Fun to see Austin's first major angle, and he looked the part. Him and Jeannie are great together. Too bad she didn't stay that long in WCW.
  8. The hammered version sounds even funnier. I want to see this reenacted in TNA… I mean GWF.
  9. Hey, insults. It's been a while… I have no idea how it's not a normal human reaction either. Like I said, you've probably never witnessed some big mofo being put in their place by a woman. I did. Funny stuff. Anyway, it's neither here nor there. WWE is not a normal workplace either. People are all fucked up over there. It's still pro-wrestling after all.
  10. Yeah pretty much my point. The thing that makes it funny to me is the crowd of people in complete denial that something even close to that could have even happened, for some reason. Most probably because Braun = WWEhipstersdarling and Karen Jarrett = women (+ TNA & Jeff's wife at that). And the fact it was evilMeltz, who's always wrong about everything ever and HATES the WWE with a passion.
  11. Jeannie doesn't get nearly the credit she deserves for being the greatest creative mind of the 90's. "Stevie honey, drink your tea before it gets stone cold." Yeah, Austin was raw. Wouldn't be too long before he would be RAW. He definitely showed potential as early as this as far as promo and look and carrying himself. Jeannie at his side doesn't hurt either, she's gorgeous. I actually like how Adams doesn't retaliate. Doesn't hit his former wife. Good. Good also how they don't say she's his ex-wife from the get-go. I'm kinda offended by the awfully stereotypical cajun name of that jobber.
  12. Hmmm I thought the same thing. Those Indian guys...
  13. For fuck's sake. Keep that stuff private, will you ? You didn't even click the link did you? They didn't tweet, it's a gif from after the match and people reading their lips He's gonna find a way to be mad about that too I actually clicked the link, but my old iMac regularly fucks up with gifs and doesn't load them. FUCK MY OLD iMAC !!! AND FUCK SAFARI TOO !!!!
  14. The fact people are trying to find actual reasons to justify that it just COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED DAMNIT, NOT TO BRAUN, NOT WITH KAREN FUCKING JARRETT !!! is making this funnier and funnier each day. What's so hard to understand ? Like Matt said, tons of much crazier shit happens regularly in pro-wrestling. What Alberto and Paige are doing these days ?
  15. Ku Klux Klan I vs Ku Klux Klan II. WHO THE FUCK DO YOU CHEER FOR ??!!!
  16. Because Braun being rude (apparently, extremely so) to a woman asking an autograph for her son is a big deal to begin with in term of image. And it makes Braun seem like a complete jerk too (seriously, who does he think he is ?). Braun basically being rude to the son of Kurt Angle (who cares about how long him and Karen are divorced ?), well… if you are drunken Braun, yeah, you should freak the fuck out a bit (hell, if only if you consider Angle being kind of a crazy mofo with myriads of public problems… but really because he's Angle, he's back, he's an HOF and a legend respected by everyone etc…) People just don't want to picture Braun begging Karen like a bitch after he acted like an asshole to a mother asking for an autograph. People are funny like that. Still real to them etc… (bis repetita)
  17. For fuck's sake. Keep that stuff private, will you ?
  18. EP 22 Not sure I'm a fan of the whole Cueto Cup. A giant tournament is not the most exciting idea in the LU context. Aerostar vs Drago was on the sloppy side too. Mack vs that Alice in Wonderland guy was fun though. On the other hand, that Mysterio vs Mundo hype video with some British sounding narrator was excellent. And I guess Cage is officially the Gregor Clegane of Lucha Underground now.

  20. You just gave me an idea for that paper I have to write, which actually deals with stereotypes and stuff. Couldn't find the right way to begin, been searching for hours. "Everyone is a stereotype" will do quite well. Thanks for the help (even if it wasn't intended).
  21. Some people just aren't good at that. I totally understand. It used to piss me off (I'm always the one who picks up the phone and calls, or send e-mails/messages), but not that much anymore. I found this episode quite fascinating again and Tony very fair as usual. Gotta love the "Fingers" nickname Heenan gave to Tenay's wife.
  22. What's actually ridiculous is a bunch of people having *zero* knowledge of what actually happened claiming "Oh, it surely didn't happen that way" because evilMeltz™ reported a favourite of them got verbally bitchslapped by a woman (Karen Jarrett of all people) after he acted like a rude mofo with an attitude. I guess it's still real to you, damnit. But you know, it's not that hard to picture a green ass rookie in the business (which is what Braun is, essentially) shitting himself after realizing he just cussed out Kurt Angle's ex-wife, when Kurt Angle's back in the company and seen as a legend by everyone, including management. I guess you never witnessed a petite woman (yeah, Karen ain't petite, but whatever) put some big fucker in their right place before. I tend to mark out for these kind of stories, admitedly.
  23. Tonight during a Carl Craig set. He mixed Also Sprach Zarathustra in the middle of old-school Detroit techno. So yeah, I couldn't help it. I woooed.
  24. I dunno (well, WCCW I don't care much for anyway, but the point stands). Pro-wrestling is also an atmosphere as a whole to me. It's part of the deal. It's part of the memories too.
  25. And this is why old bootlegged TV stuff >>> Network cleaned up stuff. (who wants to watch Hollywood Hogan coming out to some generic bullshit theme or ECW without all the music that was part of the fun and identity ? or, for old fuckers, Kerry von Erich without Tom Sawyer and Fantastics without Sharp Dressed Man ?)
