  1. Hi, my name is Dean Malenko. I am a second generation wrestler, I have no charisma and I love technical wrestling. I want to feud with Eddie Guerrero because we had "*****" matches in ECW ealier this year. Eddie had the same interveiw segment later on the show and he basically said "Hi, my name is Eddie Guerrero. I am a second generation wrestler, I have no charisma and I love lucha libre. I want to feud with Dean Malenko because we had "*****" matches in ECW ealier this year. And they used the fake Pulp Fiction music Mike Sanders would get five years later !!
  2. So is Dixie basically a MILFTROLL now ?
  3. Really good stuff again. Luger must have been so thrilled to get back in WCW, getting big money and being used as a superstar again. Luger vs Savage was one feud they could have easily done in WWF but WCW got it right, another sign of the times.
  4. Yeah, Pillman joigning Arn really came from nowhere, but Pillman badly needed the heel turn, his new babyface character with awful hard FM music and ugly trunks wasn't going anywhere. I always thought Pillman's promos as the Loose Cannon often sounded a bit forced though. Arn was excellent here, as usual.
  5. Brotha, dude, brotha, dude, brotha, dude, machine against machine. Hogan was unbearable. The heel turn was so much needed.
  6. Amazing mullet tha Lex was sporting at the time. Solid promo. Lex has always been good in this sort of things.
  7. Dusty back on the mothaship !
  8. Great segment, and it's striking how much lively this looks compared to the tired "one guy in the ring / one guy on the ramp" or over-scripted and badly acted "backstage vignette" format that has become the standart since the late 90's/early 00's. Flair is awesome here, and Sting is very efficient too. No trust, no shit.
  9. Hogan banging against the door of the monster truck while Giant is doing his evil laugh is a riot.
  10. You forget the best part : Flair making the save wearing his wrestling boots, tights and kneepads on the beach ! This is why I love pro-wrestling. "The Devil has lost it !". Ah ah ah !
  11. Really good piece. Hey, maybe that's why they showed Brie "without makeup" in the morning in that Total Divas video, because I guess that way she appears "ugly"… (well, she looks much better natural to me than with tons of makeup).

    Sean Waltman.
  13. The first fives minutes with Shark vs Sting was actually pretty good. But then we get Zodiac, Kamala… So yeah, pretty bad, but not as eye gouging as the 98 and the 00 one. Really the cartoon version of Wargames. Gotta love that Hogan entered the cage and immediately threw powder in the eyes of everybody. Still the shittiest babyface ever. Damn, Paul Wight looks like he's 19.
  14. Well, I did rewatch it in context that time, and I agree with a lot of things Loss said now. I don't know if I would go so far to say I thought it was great, but it was the best Flair matches in ages and yes, I thought the cliché spots looked fresh (as much as they can) in this context. I enjoyed this match so much more this time around. Really good stuff. Arn was pretty fantastic especially during the first half, and I enjoy older Ric throwing a hundred stiff chops like he's Tenryu.
  15. Fuck me, the work after the restart was really terrific. Pillman was the glue, but Mero was game as all hell. I still love this match.
  16. Yep, what a awful, boring match with a hundred resthods and sloppy work. Sherri's boots and legs are the only things worthwhile here.
  17. DDP bumping around couldn't save it. The Renegade was even worse than the original.
  18. Oh, I remember that "love" scene from Thunder in Paradise…
  19. Funny, I had no recollection of this match at all. Hey, Flair moves pretty quickly compared to 2001, and he does a lot more stuff ! That being said, it's basically the same match. And it's also the same match they had in 1990. Sting is probably one of my least favourite Flair opponent, and they always work in auto-pilot it seems. Luger showed up from nowhere is just amazing. His fashion sense is just so mid-90's it's hurting my eyes. Norton and Savage had a pretty fun match the following week.
  20. Pastamania brotha !
  21. I'm so watching this taking a drink every time Roma says "fuck".
  22. I vote for Raven and Nobuhiko Takada.
  23. Nah, Zbyszko was tons of fun and a really solid worker.
  24. Triple H. Because he was not only boring, but he was boring in looooooooooooooooooooong main event matches for a looooooooooooooooooooong time.
