Fine work. Loving the Landell stuff still and I'm looking forward to seeing how Lawler, Idol, Landell, the Rock and Rolls, Anthony, and Barr mix it up down the line.
  2. Hey now, don't be thanking Georgia for something the Carolinas gave Fritz! Again, your match write-ups are likely the best in this project. Very nice flow and easy to following along with. Feels like a very possible World Class show, with lots of familiar names and also guys that Fritz easily could have brought in had they become available. Great job Jesse.
  3. Great show. Now that you've absorbed Central States, that seems like a perfect type of card for the Chase. Anything that makes Chavo look like a worldbeater I'm a fan of. Looking forward to the Kernodle/Larsen storyline.
  4. Eaton and Prichard is a great "What if?" tag team and with Cornette right there.... I feel like the eventual Cornette as a heel coming out party sometime down the line will be amazing. A fine use of restraint not dipping into that well yet.
  5. Your usage of Hogan as a tough brawler feels like Verne's most promising option since he probably wouldn't have gone for Hulkamania the way Vince did. Patera and Gang are prime opponents for him. This may be a Hogan who is in "Japan-mode" all the time. Eddie Mekka is a suprisingly relevant celebrity guest for Verne.
  6. Midnights/Rougeaus is such a fun feud. It makes me drool for an Eaton/Lane vs. Fabulous Rougeaus match from 1989. But this is a good replacement. I like seeing singles matches on some of those upcoming shows between the various tag teams. Such a smart move to use all those talented guys in both types of matches. So many interesting matchups.
  7. Glad to see Kiniski put his foot down on that AWA guy. Funk sure is leaving a legacy in his last month of full-time wrestling. That's a stacked card for Vancouver. Hart/Dibiase and Hennig/Borne have been proven to have great chemistry in real life and that Battle Royal is so pumped full of possible winners that I can't predict what will happen.
  8. Very curious as to what Holliday's going to do with his ranks being cut so drastically so quickly.
  9. Those are some fun looking cards, but do they feature unlisted jobber matches or does the WWF put on 2 1 hour shows with different guys on back to back nights? Or is this the same show each night, but you've split the results into 2 halves for the sake of being exciting?

    NXT TakeOver Brooklyn

Fans who threw streamers were kicked out, but then brought back so the fans chanted Welcome Back.
  11. You certainly have Bill Watts down pat. Reads just like he sounds. It's interesting to have a promotion make so much use of the freelancers. Everyone uses them, but to give Mascaras a title? It adds a distinct big time feel to Mid-South. Looking forward to see how JYD deals with being blinded again.
  12. Monday August 22nd 1983 MACW Live from the Sumter County Exhibition Center in Sumter, South Carolina Tonga Kid defeated Bob Bradley in 10:01 with a flying crossbody press. Butcher Vachon defeated Joe Lightfoot in 5:15 by making him submit to the Hangman's Hold. Chief Jay Strongbow & Billy Two Eagles defeated Tony Zane & Tiger Williams in 7:21 when Eagles pinned Zane after a flying chop. Mad Dog Vachon defeated Brad Rheingans in 8:12 with a diving headbutt running off the ropes to a standing Rheingans. NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Russians (Volkoff & Markoff) © and The Fabulous Freebirds (Gordy & Roberts) went to a double countout at 15:33 when the fight spilled out of the ring and never returned. MAIN EVENT Michael Hayes and Scott Casey went to a time-limit draw at 30:00.
  13. Agreed Will, but maybe there should be some sort of time limit to respond. I'm fine with giving Rocket another week to make it a full month. Sent him another PM as well. Over a month since a show was posted, almost a month since he last appeared here. I don't want to force anyone out, at all. I want him to come back, even if it's quick sparse updates.
  14. If he had an emergency, he has bigger things on his mind then us closing down his fake 1983 promotion. And he said he was back from a longer vacation, most likely some summer trip. Fine man, everything doesn't have to be an argument.
  15. And I check PM's on my phone all the time. I do most of my non-show posting on my phone.
  16. Yeah that's not a big reason, just throwing it out there. WWC is in early July, but Boricua is constantly around. I'm not for kicking anyone out really, but no one else thinks 5 weeks without a show and 3 without any checking in is kinda indicative of a loss of interest?
  17. And remember, that roster is just sitting there collecting dust.
  18. Other than Wahoo's Leg, who hasn't posted longer than Rocket? Wahoo did respond to PM's and said he's still in. It's not that hard to at least check in. I don't want to lose RocketCrypt, he's a good writer and the more the merrier. Hopefully he shows up before the draft completes. But 3 weeks since last post, 5 since last show and no check-in sounds like interest level is too low to continue. But I'm not in charge of this. This isn't an in-game NWA Board matter. If enough of you think I jumped the gun, let me know. Otherwise, let's get on with it.
  19. I'm game for allowing this, but you or someone else can come up with guidelines.
  20. That's cool, but he hasn't posted anything for 3 weeks, any show for over a month. If he wants to stay in, awesome. But it doesn't seem like it. Time is up. We've been discussing it for the past week, not a knee jerk decision.
  21. He's been PM'ed multiple times. Those posts are from 3 weeks ago or more. If he shows up, obviously stays in. But we're proceeding under the assumption he's done
  22. You just had remarkable timing because Kris and I just decided enough's enough.
  23. Yeah I tried reaching out to him on Monday, no response even though he's been on the board. We're gonna go ahead with a Florida dispersal draft. Almost 5 weeks with no update, gonna consider Florida closed. WWC gets the first go, needs to leave 15 wrestlers total I believe for the draft.
  24. Sunday August 21st 1983 MACW Live from the Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina Butcher Vachon defeated Ben Alexander in 8:43 with a full nelson slam. Chief Jay Strongbow & Billy Two Eagles defeated Tony Zane & Doug Vines in 7:40 when Eagles pinned Vines after a flying chop to the head. Mad Dog Vachon defeated Brad Rheingans in 10:24 with a running headbutt. NWA TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Terry Gordy © defeated NWA World Tag Team Champion Chris Markoff in 8:10 with a high angle back suplex. NWA World Tag Team Champion Nikolai Volkoff defeated Terry Taylor in 12:30 with the Russian Sickle. NWA UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP Dr. D Dave Schultz © defeated Crusher Darsow in 15:18 with a flying corkscrew elbow. Michael Hayes defeated The Iron Sheik in 14:13 when Buddy Rogers accidentally nailed Sheik with his own Persian Clubs leading to Hayes hitting a DDT. MAIN EVENT Ric Flair defeated Scott Casey in 18:10 when Casey kept his shoulders down for 3 while in the figure-four leg lock. Casey argued with the ref after the match.
  25. Thanks for the kind words. I'm hoping to keep up the hot run of Greensboro shows as I continue and right now I have some pretty exciting monthly cards planned all the way to Christmas and New Years. A) You are on the right track with Casey, but nothing like that will happen for some time. It just worked out that I was able to grab Eagles and Strongbow in the dispersal drafts and so I ran with it. Casey is the type of guy who I had very little for originally and its organically grown. But yes some more Native Americans will be making appearances sometime down the line. Actually if you take a look at who is on this show, you may be able to figure out who Casey will be facing on the next episode of MACW. B ) Sheik and David was kind of a last choice dancing partners thing, but they've had a lot of interaction on the three shows I've posted so far, especially on the last one posted right before the Coliseum show. Main thing was to keep Sheik strong as he transitions off of the constant Flair matches and makes a run on David Schultz starting right now.
