Has any wrestler in the history of wrestling had more opportunity to have quality matches on tape?
  2. I'm pretty sure we'll get Austin vs Rock, Austin vs HHH, HHH vs Rock, Undertaker vs Shawn, Undertaker vs Kane, Vince vs Austin, HHH vs Foley, Taker vs Mankind, Cena vs Edge, Cena vs Orton, HHH vs Orton, Hogan vs Andre, Hogan vs Savage, Hogan vs Sting, Flair vs Sting, Hogan vs Flair before we get anything more interesting. We're looking at season 3 before they start "scraping"
  3. Hey, I caught about half the show. I was putting my kid to sleep, making bread for the week, watching a Stan Hansen match. I caught what I wanted to. I mostly enjoyed what I caught. I avoided what I didn't. That's how I generally do it. I don't watch wrestling I don't think I'll like in real time very often. I got a kick out of the way they put together the main, even if it's not how I WANTED them to or how I thought they should. i have managed expectations when it comes to a cage match in 2014 WWE. So I appreciated it for the most part. What I don't appreciate is the general tone you took at the beginning towards people who felt differently than you, people who had reached a general consensus through discussion, who had listed their thoughts and the reasons behind it. What you said just now was patronizing but at least you put on an air of care and concern. That was cute. In general, while I think people who sit through three hours of Raw, live, every week, when they know they're going to hate it, maybe should be finding something else to do with their time, I think I've got slightly more concern for people who are so deep into their own bullshit that they can't begin to make the effort to sympathize with others and see where they're coming from, even after they've listed their views. That doesn't do us any good here. I know you feel like you've earned the right to be here and spew that stuff and be self-righteous about it, but it doesn't do anyone any good. When you have an interview with someone we like, we'll be glad to help you crowdsource questions; likewise when you have an article you want some help with or you want to show to us. Otherwise, try to show people some respect, huh? It doesn't cost you anything, except for maybe robbing you of the endorphin kick you get for feeling right and better than people on the internet.

They could use action figures for a visual demonstration. Or a Malenko like in the early 90s.
  5. I don't think it's falling for it. It's just not being used to it because most people here are pretty earnest and anyone who acts like that gets banned pretty quickly, no matter who he was friends with in 1998 or if he has 500,000 people reading his stuff.
  6. There's a difference between disagreeing with people, even passionately, and insulting them. You would do well to learn it.
  7. Was it just two years?
  8. They're doing well enough financially that there's more to lose in trying to take a risk than to gain by actually taking it.
  9. I hope that the lack of a world champion means we have a traditional Survivor Series match on top for November. I want Wyatt, Harper, Rowan, Stardust, Goldust vs Ambrose, uh...well, the Usos, so that'd be two of them. I can't even think of who to slot in there. Is that a me problem or a WWE babyface depth problem?
  10. I hope they talk about how he got buried after he jumped and how Kane had a better 99 than Jericho.
  11. Hey, they finally got to use the hologram. I can't wait for hologram Andre vs hologram Rusev.
  12. Maybe they'll go past the 48 minute mark or whatever?
  13. Done just once, in 2014, it almost feels fresh though.
  14. It felt like the camera was on him at least 50% of the time.
  15. It's still surreal to me that Sandow is doing the gimmick I saw him do (selling on the outside what happened on the inside) back when he was a rookie in 2000.
  16. Maybe they saved more of the cell spots for the main?
  17. Orton's hit a few spots in this which have just shown excellent timing and placement. Really prime stuff so far as that goes. That counts more to some people than others, of course.
  18. Maybe that's it? I love the 60s Batman show and get a kick out of how heel Doink and Repo Man are both inspired by Batman villains?
  19. Glad we're getting Ambrose vs Rollins at the end too. I have no idea why I like Stardust more than most of you but it's definitely not for his in ring stuff. I love him on the apron reacting to stuff though. It's hilarious.
  20. I was getting bread into the bread machine instead of seeing Dolph vs Cesaro. Bella match was perfectly fine though. I would have liked the kick out to the bella buster maybe a little later in the match, but past that, it was fine.
  21. 96 Goldust doesn't qualify as a good/great heel run? He did have fans sending him threats at one point. He doesn't have the matches. For 96, There's the brawl with Piper and the ladder match with Michaels, but not a hell of a lot else. KOTR with Johnson is a hell of a spectacle and such great gimmick work from Dustin, but that's revisionist thought. There's some okay stuff with Vega and Mero but not enough. The matches just aren't there for the level of run he needed.
  22. I'm still really into the Rhodes' brothers. I love watching Stardust interact with various heels that he's teaming with, and as crazy as it sounds, Dustin really needs this heel run to bolster his career versatility marks, since he's never had a really great heel run before and he's doing pretty well with his role.

That's Brie's finish too I think. The Bella Buster. What about this thing? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1T0UW0wpkg
  24. Again, it's not necessarily a moral thing with me. I mean hell, I'm going to have Buddy Rose in my top 5.
