  1. Maybe they saved more of the cell spots for the main?
  2. Orton's hit a few spots in this which have just shown excellent timing and placement. Really prime stuff so far as that goes. That counts more to some people than others, of course.
  3. Maybe that's it? I love the 60s Batman show and get a kick out of how heel Doink and Repo Man are both inspired by Batman villains?
  4. Glad we're getting Ambrose vs Rollins at the end too. I have no idea why I like Stardust more than most of you but it's definitely not for his in ring stuff. I love him on the apron reacting to stuff though. It's hilarious.
  5. I was getting bread into the bread machine instead of seeing Dolph vs Cesaro. Bella match was perfectly fine though. I would have liked the kick out to the bella buster maybe a little later in the match, but past that, it was fine.
  6. 96 Goldust doesn't qualify as a good/great heel run? He did have fans sending him threats at one point. He doesn't have the matches. For 96, There's the brawl with Piper and the ladder match with Michaels, but not a hell of a lot else. KOTR with Johnson is a hell of a spectacle and such great gimmick work from Dustin, but that's revisionist thought. There's some okay stuff with Vega and Mero but not enough. The matches just aren't there for the level of run he needed.
  7. I'm still really into the Rhodes' brothers. I love watching Stardust interact with various heels that he's teaming with, and as crazy as it sounds, Dustin really needs this heel run to bolster his career versatility marks, since he's never had a really great heel run before and he's doing pretty well with his role.

That's Brie's finish too I think. The Bella Buster. What about this thing? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1T0UW0wpkg
  9. Again, it's not necessarily a moral thing with me. I mean hell, I'm going to have Buddy Rose in my top 5.

I'm not even sure what a facebreaker is. Is it the Codebreaker? A flapjack? Who did that move which ended with a face on a knee? Kidman? Or was that the back of the head. Let me go google TOP TEN MOVES OF KIDMAN. Wait, 65 moves? What the hell. What's #63? Belly to Back Suplex. #10 is fireman's carry neckbreaker. That's what I was thinking of. Nevermind. What? the Kid Krusher 01 is only #9? He turned that right into a pin by rolling over. HA "Don't try to powerbomb kidman" is #8. Anyway, what the hell is the facebreaker?
  11. Cena vs Orton is deserving? Because I think that's what the show is ending with now. With the way the network functions, there's probably no harm in them ending with Rollins vs Ambrose, is there? What potential harm could that cause, really?
  12. Again, a lot of it for me is just that I don't want to watch Benoit. I don't think there's anyone else I feel that way about (Well Buck for different reasons, but I don't want to watch him anyway). If I need to watch him to see another wrestler I'm considering rating, then I will, but that's as far as I'm going in the name of the project.
  13. I will likely be one of the low ratings on Misawa, I assume.
  14. With Benoit, it's two fold. One, it's personal so I can't detach in a way I can with Invader. If you can, that's fine. Two, I fully believe that his style partially led to what happened. You might not. I do. I don't think Invader's great selling led to what happened. It doesn't mean I'm going to take off 20 places for Benoit and put him at 60 instead of 40 or whatever. I'm just not going to rate him. That simple.
  15. I think there's a real distinction between Macho Man Savage and Macho King Savage, personally. I don't think the Macho King could walk down the street, but the Macho Man could be a pro athlete.
  16. I kind of like to see HOW a wrestler half asses stuff. If they take shortcuts or just lock in a chinlock. If so, how do they do it. You get the idea. I don't have to go in depth. Do you get the sense that they can be lazy and still be effective, etc?
  17. This was really great. I loved the talk on craft and also having him talking about some names you wouldn't normally hear about. I'd never heard the Fuji thing before (though I might have heard the Bravo one).
  18. I really hope we get an entire episode focused on Steph's heel turn at the end of 99.

    Rob Van Dam

RVD is my least favorite wrestler of all time, but I can separate favorites from best. Therefore, he will be #1012 on my list of best wrestlers ever, just ahead of Moppy and Pepe the hobby horse, but hey, if he's on your list and all, that's cool, because we're open minded.
  20. Brusier Brody/Stan Hansen vs Mil Mascaras/Dos Caras This match did not disappoint. I wanted, so very badly, to see what would happen when the two most selfish wrestlers in the history of wrestling, Brody and Mil got in there together, and it was beautiful. neither gave the other anything. On one level you might think that would be great because it would mean there was a visceral sense of struggle, but it wasn't competitiveness. It was just a lack of cooperation or selling. They'd just hug each other around the ring or grab a leg and then shove off and it was just tedious and terrible, maybe some of the worst wrestling I've ever seen in my life. There was one point where Brody was absolutely fed up and tagged out to Hansen just because he didn't want to deal with the bullshit and another where I swear that Mil did the same thing, tagging out to Casas. At that point they tried to do a double atomic drop (which Hansen ate later), but Brody would have nothing to do with that. Hansen was better than Brody; he'd take stuff at least but he'd never sell it for more than a few seconds, always punching his way back up. Given the size difference that might have been okay in a different match with a different partner. Dos was fine. Hilarious match. Everyone needs to see it. As bad in parts as anything I've ever seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utpghisMA0M
  21. I would drop a few dollars in to make sure Parv could get the network so that we could see him review Monday Night Wars. That'd be hilarious. If he's angry about this...

They should have just thrown out the Best of 7. It's been a long time since they did it.
  23. Didn't they market Bruno as "the Living Legend?"
  24. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTRej6vOCuM I had NO idea this ever happened.
