I didn't know Dinsmore was training now. Glad to see that.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love wrestling. Never been a problem. I think my parents are still surprised that I never "grew out of it". They always thought it was a phase. My wife doesn't like wrestling, but is cool with me liking it. That is, until we got a note from my 2-year-old's daycare that she was "wrestling" kids to the ground and "pinning" them. I was proud of her for shooting on the other kids. The wife, not so much. She watches all the "Real Houswives of..." shows. She freely admits that they're basically the female-equivalent of pro wrestling. I'm pretty lucky to have a ton of fans at work. I work at a tv station in Louisville. One of our main anchors is a commentator for OVW on the side. One of our female anchors (who is very respected in town) is a Mid-South fan from way back. One of our top reporters is a huge Memphis fan. There are about five guys in production that are more-than-casual fans. I've had them over for Wrestlemania. My wife was amazed that there are "other nerds who know as much about that stuff as you do." If she only knew what kind of nerds hung out here I figure in the grand scheme of things, it's a harmless hobby. It makes me happy. It helps me relax watching it. That said, I need to get my ass in gear on the Lucha set. Been slacking.

I know that the wrestlers know that they're going to commercial break. That makes me think they're not going to do anything too cool while off the air. It doesn't bother me. What does bother me, is that I've become Pavlov's dog with my remote. I don't even realize I'm starting to fast-forward until I'm doing it. Dude gets thrown from the ring, Cole's tone of voice changes, and there I go. For a company that really does have top-notch production, they can be really lazy with stuff like that.

What are the other notable/popular wrestling message boards?
Log replied to Loss's topic in Pro Wrestling
I don't venture out much. At this point, I know what I'm looking for with wrestling (and discussion of it). In my opinion, there is no better place for discussion, learning, news, etc. than here. I used to love DVDVR. Still do, to an extent. It's just become one big in-joke between a handful of posters. There's still good stuff there (80's project, obviously). This place has tangents that end up being more interesting than most topics at other boards. I just don't bother anymore. I know what I like and I know I can get it here. -
And there's his gimmick!
-
Now that IWA Mid South is running again, I just want another Punk/Hero 90 minute match. (not really)
-
Roman Reigns: 6'3" 251 lbs. Daniel Bryan: 5'10" 210 lbs.
-
Bryan's tweeting about being held out of the Rumble by "the machine" and for fans to keep it up. There's no way he's doing that on his own. They're going to try to spin this into something. They really have to.
-
Exactly. His merch doesn't sell because it's shitty. Even by wrestling merch terms.
-
What can they do now? If they don't do something with Bryan, crowds might catch on and do that stuff every night.
-
I'm guessing we get Kane/Punk at Elimination Chamber. Very unruly crowd. This is a disaster for whoever wins.
-
Crowd's pissed. Also, there are now six guys who have competed in IWA-Mid South in there.
-
By my count, there are five guys who have competed in Chikara in the ring. Weird.
-
I think the Rumble is the only reason they keep Kofi employed. That was amazing.
-
I don't know that they're getting me that excited for Wrestlemania, but I am really craving some fucking Totino's pizza rolls right about now.
-
I thought Punk was fine in that interview. Best part was that he has The Undertaker's urn on his kitchen counter.

Everyone knows wrestling is fake too, so by that logic why even watch? It's a television show man, the story was Cena was not at the arena yet. You have to just accept what the yare presenting and judge on the merit, not the thought process that he's already backstage. Again, by that logic, why should we care about two guys fighting who ten minutes after a match are joking around and playing PS4... But there was no explanation as to why Cena was late. He just randomly wasn't there. It's not like Orton did something nefarious to keep him from getting there. He just wasn't there. It made no sense by any logic. Add to that the heat-less brawling to end the show and it was a bum segment.
-
That's hilarious! ^ Cena does run funny. Also, he wears his kneepads eeeeeverywhere.
-
Ali's in bad shape. He doesn't do much in the line of appearances these days. I mean, he wouldn't be able to give a speech or anything. It's really kind of depressing to see him now.
-
Well, good. For the record, I don't have a problem with it. I'm assuming all three guys involved agreed to the spot. They're adults. They can do what they want. Is it dumb? Yeeeeeeah. If their goal is to get noticed by WWE, then it's not the best move. If they just wanted to try a crazy-ass spot, good on them.
-
You just know there was like a ten-minute finishing stretch where the dude who took the piledriver kicked out of twelve finishers. Oh well. Shine on you crazy diamonds. To each their own.
-
Sex can be alright when done poorly. Not that I'd know or anything.
-
The problem is Ziggler bumps like that for everyone. Wouldn't be special. If they're going to re-hash Lesnar feuds from 02-03, lets let him toss Zach Gowen down some stairs again.
-
Yes. (hangs head)
-
And he let them. They went nuts for his shit at the end there!
