  1. Flair shacking up with Gomez is the weirdest shit I've heard in a while.
  2. I love that the real Vince twitter isn't that far off from "Cranky Vince".
  3. At least the dude put on his good Dale Jr. sleeveless t shirt for the occasion.
  4. I didn't really have any indies running around my area (Southern Illinois) growing up. Poffo's ICW did run my high school's gym once, though. I was too young to have gone, but I was told the main was Lanny vs. Savage. A friend of mine's older brother always told me how he threw a wadded-up paper cup into the ring. He yelled, "USE THE CUP, MACHO MAN!!!" I guess Savage picked it up and rubbed it in Lanny's face. Brush with fame. I got to meet Rip Rogers a couple of years ago. Apparently, he's got a photographic memory. I mentioned this show in my hometown and he was on it, too. He rattled off the date and half the card. Pretty amazing.
  5. Random comment: Nick Dinsmore was on this show, too. He told me that backstage, Jamie was flipping out accusing everyone of stealing his meth. Turns out, he finally realized that he hadn't actually brought any meth with him.

    Current WWE

Show also seemed pretty confident during his thing with Steph. Like he knew something she didn't. I thought at first, they'd do something playing off Steph slapping the shit out of Show. Like workplace abuse. That'd be hilarious given the history of pro wrestling assaults.
  7. I really enjoy those Superstar panel things on PPV. Gives it a nice gameday feel.
  8. All I wanted was a bionic elbow! Awesome!
  9. I was at Survivor Series and enjoyed it. Then again, I was drunk. I was very entertained by my friend Jay who was convinced Mankind's mystery opponent was going to be a wild boar. Again, we were pretty drunk.
  10. To be fair, I was crying pretty hard by the time that match ended. I kept thinking about how those were minutes I could have spent doing something, anything else besides watching that match. I was thinking about how I could've spent the money for that ppv on something useful like anything else besides that ppv. It was an emotional moment for me, too.
  11. I agree with that point. When we were doing the New Japan set, people kept complaining about piledrivers not being sold very much. It didn't bother me because it was consistent across the promotion. It wasn't like you had one dude who's piledriver was sold like death and everyone else's being barely sold. Everyone sold it the same way. It goes back to each of those promotions, styles, etc being their own little universe. Things like how lucha guys bump, how heels in WWE are supposed to bump, how certain moves are treated make each style unique. I can see someone preferring a style or promotion over another one. I just think each should be judged on their own standards.
  12. Do any of you guys think that Edge gets some credit based on his kayfabe credentials? The guys held like a million belts. Could that be coloring voters opinion on him?
  13. Mocho Cota wore boots with the outline of his hand with the nub fingers on them. His boots had a rendering of his hand that had missing fingers. Boots. Picture of nub hand. (Drops mic and walks away)
  14. How did he get the splotch on his stomach?

I had no idea. I should've known. There's like a 90 percent chance that if you are employed by TNA, you've done some time in WWE.

Just watched that on youtube. It also has Maryse and Kelly Kelly. There's a chick named Brooke in it too that looks like the girl that's in TNA now. The video has her as one of the Extreme Expose thing.
  17. I totally agree that the NCAA fucks its players eight ways to Sunday. These kids pull in soooooo much money for these schools (or, really, athletic departments, the schools don't get shit) and they should be able to profit from that. I just think Johnny's a little prick. Really, though, he should try to do all he can now before he goes all Tebow in the NFL.
  18. Maybe I'm turning into a grouch myself as I get older, but I really agreed with Ross on the Manziel stuff.

  20. Gotta have a long sit down interview with JVK conducted by Sean Mooney.

  22. A guy patterns himself after Dynamite Kid.
  23. If Andre had played Dean Wormer, the Deltas would have gladly closed up shop and left campus. Movie over.
  24. If you're at all interested in Mid-South, get the set from Goodhelmet. Sooooo many great matches and angles, too. You have to remember that those sets aren't just matches. You really get the complete picture with the bonus discs.
  25. I liked Buzz's boots too. Not hard to imagine that he might've killed the animals with his bare hands to get the fur. I'm a big fan of simple and classic. Always liked how Flair had a big number of color combos on the same theme. There were a lot of times it seemed like he tried to coordinate with whoever he was wrestling, too. I dig that. Austin's Stone Cold look was a breath of fresh air after the neon 90's. Classic look for a no b.s. character. It's also so cool when a guy has "big show" gear. Mysterio at Wrestlemania, stuff like that. From what I've seen, Volador Jr. busts out some pretty cool shit like that.
