Heyman did a great job of building Brock(not that he needed it) but Reigns and Wyatt/Taker suffered as a result. It did a job of making me want to see the Mania main but he didn't have to go so far in knocking Reigns down IMO. That's without mentioning the Taker match that he totally shit on haha

The Jim Ross Is A Grouchy Hateful Vile Human Being thread
Stiva replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
At this point, this is just an old man shouting at kids for having crazy haircuts and playing their music too loud. -
I'm about to watch the latest House of Hardcore show and man, these undercards seem like they're drawn from a hat. Matt Striker vs. Amazing Red. Eddie Kingston vs. Rhino. A three way between Carlito, Lance Hoyt and Matt Hardy. It's like a TEW show come to life.

He definitely works with Big Show IMO. It'll be HHH sending his guy after the title and they'll think that Show can help Reigns along when it comes to main event matches. I imagine, around summer, Rollins cashes in after a KO punch or some shit.

So, when did ROH really get good again on a week to week basis? Last Autumn or so? I'm going to dig out the TV and get caught up since my backlog is now almost manageable.

Who is your least favourite person associated with wrestling period?
Stiva replied to JerryvonKramer's topic in Pro Wrestling
Probably Mr. Kennedy/Anderson. Jesus, that man gets on my nerves. Also, Matt Striker's presence in shoot interviews is grating. Wrestling's Michael Scott. -
That's the obvious Summerslam program for me but, as people have said, Rollins only has that briefcase until June. I'd bet my money that they have no idea where they're going with the top of the card past "Reigns vs. Big Show in April"

The one thing that I can level against Lesnar/Cena is that the wrong guy went over. But, the actual match builds to Cena winning well enough that, as a standalone match, it works.
-
We're not talking about Bryan here but, since Reigns' first defense is against a Corporate Bodyguard gimmick, why wasn't Titus O'Neill put in that position when he turned heel? Big guy, tons of charisma, would have benefited a lot working Raw/House Show tags with good workers. I think Big Show is great but that guy should not still be in a position where he's working main events opposite your champ but that's the position the booking has put them in.

https://vine.co/v/O2KBumlmOOQ Madonna just took a pretty good bump at The Brit Awards.

I was looking forward to Cena/Rusev the most anyway but man, after this string of shitty finishes, there's even more pressure on it to deliver.

at JBL talking about Wayne Rooney. "5 Premier League titles with Rooney" Even with other athletes, they can't resist listing meaningless numbers and statistics.
-
Framing this as WWF vs. WCW seems like a really strange decision. Especially with supposedly heel HHH cutting promos waving the WWE flag.
-
So, what is the effect that they're using on the replays? Everything looks awesome in them.

John Stewart should sign with WWE and manage a big group of babyfaces
-
Dusty at ringside would have helped that match, to some degree.

I feel like Orton coming into a ring full of guys and hitting them with RKOs like Austin dishing out Stunners is the perfect way to use him

Ha, Kane pins Ziggler. Fun enough opener but you can't help but think there's money being left on the table with Ryback and Ziggler, two guys who the fans are dying to see put in prominent positions.

Before you mentioned this, I was about to. His "Everything is fake but THIS is real" bullshit was something he'd rake Russo over the coals for in interviews
-
With this talk of Samoa Joe, potentially, being offered a try-out, I've realised that I'd love a good fat guy tag team. Who could team with Samoe Joe? Mike Knox? Mike Knox and Samoa Joe as Bray Wyatt's new family members. I'd dig that.

You kidding? This is Vince's masturbation tool for the next 6 weeks.

There's a gif floating around of a trios from 2013 with Bryan suplexing Rollins off the top rope and, it'll stick with me forever for some reason, there's a little kid in the crowd going absolutely crazy for it and Bryan. If I was a kid, I'd love Bryan because he does a lot of cool shit in the ring.
-
Yeah, I tuned out of watching Raw as soon as Bryan was injured last year, really. I tend to catch highly-rated matches and I'll sometimes watch Smackdown since that tends to be less of a slog than Raw. For me, as much as I complain about the booking, there's still a group of guys that I enjoy watching but all it would take is Cesaro getting released, Lesnar leaving for good and Bryan getting another long injury/leaving himself for me to tune out of it because I imagine matches up and down the card would get a lot worse and you'd lose these special attraction Lesnar main events that are awesome.

Is that the famous backstage promo where Rock just rips the nWo to shreds?

the last PPV main event I remember with a load of top guys in at once with no gimmick was back in 2007 with Cena, Lashley, Orton, Booker and some other guys and it was a really fun main event. I wouldn't mind seeing that with Bryan, Reigns, Ambrose, Show and Ziggler, for instance.
