I've also been watching some 93 WWF and these Men on a Mission matches are really bad. Mabel/Viscera went on to do some good stuff but Mo isn't great, in the slightest. I'm not going to say he's the worst ever but he really sucks. At least, in this viewing period.

What a great post. I'd love to know more about Crockett trying to muscle in on McMahon turf in the 60s, is there any articles/books to dig into it?

Man, I was actually optimistic about Cesaro having a main event run around this point. If the best we can hope for throughout 2015 is a tag series opposite The Usos and The Lucha Dragons, he won't make my list. It's a shame because he's easily my favourite WWE worker but man, his treatment Post Mania 30 is maybe the worst I've ever seen an over worker be treated. He could have been having long, main event matches but instead, he's faltering in the midcard there's still a chance for him and Kidd to pull a great tag out of someone (probably The Usos) but Cesaro could have been so much more.

For the most part, the series with Paige was bad but there was that one PPV match where they went out and threw bombs at each other for 5 minutes that was really fun.

Stupid things non-wrestling fans say to you
Stiva replied to Cross Face Chicken Wing's topic in Pro Wrestling
If someone was to say "Hey, you know it's fake?", I'd show them Rusev rolling to the ring in a tank and I'd politely mention that, fake or not, this medium, when done right, is fucking great. -
Fair enough, I think I've seen it, maybe, twice since it happened and certainly not any time recently.

What is everyone's opinion on the Deadly Games tournament at Survivor Series 98? I remember it being a really great show, just on the way it was booked throughout the night though I can see how the finish of the main might sour people.

And that Jackass/Punk'd type show or whatever it's going to be. I genuinely don't know who they're for.

PWO PTBN WrestleMania XXXI Reaction Show
Stiva replied to Bigelow34's topic in Publications and Podcasts
Listening now, another great reaction show. I loved hearing the giddy excitement from everyone about how awesome the main event was. -
It'd be great if they had the Rusev tank idea in mind, saw how much a tank would cost and decided to offset it by firing Drew McIntyre
-
As much as the main deserves the attention, with Cena and Bryan working longer midcard matches, who the hell are the heels that they're going to face for their belts? I'd put Bryan with Harper, for definite. Make that a Best of Seven. Where does Rusev go from here? Does Lana bring someone in to face him? As much as the top of the show has a nice direction, everything else is up in the air, I think.

That's two PPV main events in a row where Reigns has looked great too. Awesome bumping and selling, the strikes looked great, his facials were awesome. I mean, he's been in there with Bryan and Lesnar but he's been right there with them, working hard to turn the crowd around and I'm pretty sure he'll get there, sooner rather than later if they handle the next few months right. I'm also looking forward to Heyman's promo where he politely tells Rollins that, not only has he pissed off Roman Reigns, he's pissed off Brock Lesnar and now they're both looking to kick his head in.

There was no way that the 2000 HHH tribute act wasn't recreating the heel winning at Mania finish. MITB just made it easier for them.
-
God damn, I should have put the life savings on my prediction
-
I FUCKING KNEW IT. This was Rollins' Mania all along
-
This is amazing. Reigns is so ready for it

Any chance of anything on this show becoming a "Wrestlemania Moment" organically is ruined by everyone trying to label it such as it's happening. There cannot be anymore Taker matches. All the heat and money went with The Streak. Wyatt needs a new Family desperately
-
This match really needed a one and done Tombstone. This is such a strange thing; no need for it to be here, nobody really wants it, it helps neither man, hurts them both
-
So that's literally every person alive that Steph shows no fear toward.

We managed to wrangle a good deal on a 60" TV so that's coming into play tonight. Me and my friend are getting food, beer and staying up way too late (or early) to watch it, starting with all the pre-show business. I'm pulling for Lesnar, he's pulling for Reigns so by the time we're tipsy, it's going to be fun watching the main event.

The more I think about this show, with the way the build has went, the way his push has went, I think I can see Seth Rollins holding the World Title as Mania fades out. I think there's a possibility that this is the show that is remembered as Rollins' coronation, not Reigns' EDIT: I'll expand on this a bit further. Rollins has until July (?) to cash in MITB. If you look at your options out of Mania and you have Reigns as World Champ; If he turns heel, the money would be against babyface Brock at Summerslam, for the belt. Along the way, there's potentially a babyfaced Big Show and Randy Orton in his way, maybe Ryback. I think, if you're doing the turn, you have to keep the belt on Reigns past July so we can get Reigns/Lesnar 2 which leaves Rollins without a plan unless they're going to hotshot the belt around until Lesnar is back. If Reigns stays babyface, then you can have Rollins cash in whenever he likes and that's your summer title feud, I guess but, with Brock re-signing, the potential backlash against Reigns on these next two shows (and beyond), I don't see this show ending in your basic "Here's your guy getting the belt, power up the confetti" I think the variables are different, the situation is different and that briefcase needs to be used sooner rather than later. Even if it's as simple as Reigns pinning Brock and Rollins picking the bones, I think it's the most likely scenario if you look ahead to the next few months and the heel/face alignments. I'm rambling a bit there and, maybe I'm missing something really obvious (it's very likely) but I think this Mania ends with a heel on top with the CEO in his corner, thus completing Rollins' transformation into 2000 HHH.

Butch should be on TV every week. What a hilarious speech.

That Bryan speech, man. Is it dusty in here?
