tomk
Whats wrong with Primo? Probably next to man don the Max Moon I mean Sin Cara suit: As was noted on the front page last night, Sin Cara's official first night back will be this coming Tuesday night at the Smackdown tapings. The decision for him to return was only made a couple of days back, and prior to that his future was very much up in the air with the company. He will be returning just three weeks after he was given a four-week suspension for a Wellness Policy violation. To get around this fact, there is talk that they might put developmental wrestler Hunico under the mask for a week until the real Sin Cara's suspension date hits. Credit F4WOnline Kinda funny replacing the guy who failed for steroids with a bigger guy. Hillarious that they are talking about replacing Mistico with Mystico de la Juarez. Ditch
In Japan the sit-out tombstone is called a fire thunder driver. It's generally associated with FMW. The 'square driver' refers to the Steiner Square Driver, which is the vertical suplex lift into the sit-out tombstone.
FLIK
It's generally associated with FMW. It's Mr. Gannosuke's move, no one else really used it in FMW. Yuko Mikyamoto (Gannosuke student) inherited it from him. Thunder Fire Powerbomb is the one more associated with FMW in general. Started by Onita and then pretty much everyone took it from him. The 'square driver' refers to the Steiner Square Driver, which is the vertical suplex lift into the sit-out tombstone. I know it's been called both but of the 2, I gotta say, Steiner Screw Driver is the much cooler name.

NintendoLogic
wwemasterp chris mordetzky Watch any match I've worked in the last year and tell me I wasn't one of the best in ring guys in the company.I'm just saying! http://twitter.com/#!/wwemasterp/statu...560011822411776 The funny thing is, the WWE seemed to agree. Whenever he appeared on Raw or Smackdown, the commentators always put over how much he'd improved in the ring. Also someone point me in the direction of a really good Chris Masters match, i've watched like 10 current WWE shows in the past few years and only remember him during his really shitty initial run. The match I've seen pimped the most is against Drew McIntyre on Superstars last August. I was pretty skeptical of all the Masters love until I saw it. FLIK
I could swear I've seen guys like Kanemura and Tanaka do it... Well I meant more as a regular move. Others used it sure but more as a once in a blue moon type thing, not something that you'd really associate with anyone in the promotion besides Gannoske. Compare with Onita's powerbomb which damn near the entire roster aped on the the reg.

Question is where: http://www.cagesideseats.com/2011/8/5/2347...-cageside-seats Bleacher Report wrestling subsite. Have two stories up. Right now, I'll be most easily visible from my profile page at http://bleacherreport.com/users/515890-david-bixenspan (for now my stuff will show up there first) and the "featured columnists" bar on the right a little down the page of the wrestling/WWE sites. Sorry to see you move on, your articles were the best on Cageside, but I'm sure you have your reasons and good luck at Bleacher Report. I kind of loathe their sports sites, never knew they had a wrestling sub-site. As long as you aren't forced to do slideshows....
Bix
There will be slideshows, but I will try to make them as awesome as possible. I've seen people do enough good things with the format on non wrestling sites that I don't much of a problem there.
kjh
I'll break kayfabe for a second and will just say that Bix was MASSIVELY under-appreciated by SBNation (not a criticism, just an observation) and is going somewhere that'll hopefully treat him a lot better. So yeah, I'll be following him at Bleacher Report and everyone else should too!

sek69
* Losing weight after getting clean and developing depression in the process * Undertaker roughing him up at house show Haven't heard eiter of those stories, anyone have details? When the Wellness Policy first came into play, Masters lost a lot of size, easily 20-30 pounds of mass. He was off TV for a while afterwards and it later came out that he went into a depression over being so small after being jacked for so long, and that it was a known but little mentioned side effect of roid use that guys get psychologically dependent on them since they can't handle seeing themselves get small again. He also got mocked by DX on an episode of Raw for being so noticeably small, but I can't remember if it was before or after his depression was known. I want to say after, since it started a mild furor on the interwebs how it wasn't cool to mock a guy who A: followed company policy and B: had legit emotional problems about it. Strummer
WWE signing Gail Kim again a few years ago always struck me as odd since Vince and Kevin Dunn both hated her look during her first run. IIRC Vince was even hesitant to put her on TV. This is why she was let go back in 2004 (this was when they signed a bunch of Divas search castoffs and blonde models with huge implants like Bobbi Billard and Vince and Dunn wanted to turn the division into a trainwreck). I guess they just wanted to mess with TNA

EricR
Chris Masters matches that are really really good: ~vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Primo (Superstars, 1/28/10) ~vs. Chavo Guerrero (Superstars, 5/6/10) ~vs. Dolph Ziggler (Superstars, 5/13/10) ~vs. Jack Swagger (Superstars, 8/19/10) ~vs. Drew McIntyre (Superstars, 8/26/10) ~vs. Kane (Smackdown, 9/24/10) ~vs. Vance Archer (Superstars, 10/7/10) ~vs Alberto Del Rio (Smackdown, 10/15/10) ~vs. Tyler Reks (Superstars, 10/28/10) ~vs. Tyler Reks (Superstars, 12/30/10) ~vs. Curt Hawkins (Superstars, 1/20/11) ~vs. Tyler Reks (Superstars, 3/10/11) Those are 12 Masters matches that I think are really, really good. The best one is the McIntyre match from 8/26 (might as well watch that whole episode of Superstars as it also has Goldust vs. Regal which is insanely good as well). A couple of those matches are under 5 minutes, but the Del Rio one especially shows how much of a little story Masters can tell with only 3 minutes. Kane match is good as it shows how great he can work with someone larger than him, and the Vance Archer match is maybe the miracle match of 2010. The former Lance Hoyt has not touched anything that good ever. The 3 way is great as there aren't many good 3 ways and this is a real tight 6 minutes. I know that seems like a lot of matches, but they're all really easily found online and the longest ones (McIntyre, Ziggler, and one of the Reks matches) are only 10 minutes. This should be more than enough to show you how great Masters got before his release.
MJH
Whilst I don't think Masters ever got anywhere near *great*, you can see how hard he was working to improve and how much thought he was putting into his work to make it better. As a result it can look forced and deliberate, but it's hard not to appreciate the effort: the guy certainly deserved a second break.
artDDP
From TomK's old Impact workrate reports: The actual story of DX and the James Gang is an amusing story. HHH and Vince when they restarted DX wanted to bring back the New Age Outlaws, but then they found out that the Outlaws had been talking all kinds of shit. No one minded that they were talking about Vince but when Helmsley found out that they were talking about him, his ego was bruised and he nixed bringing them back. I don't know that that would be abnormally petty for wrestling, but it is notable that when presented with the same situation, HHH was actually pettier than Vince. That's kinda impressive. Mick Foley, in "The Hardcore Diaries", strongly hinted that it was Triple H who was against Randy Orton having hardcore matches with Foley to get him over. Foley commented that "those same people didn't seem to have a problem when I was putting them over in those types of matches." He also got mocked by DX on an episode of Raw for being so noticeably small, but I can't remember if it was before or after his depression was known. I want to say after, since it started a mild furor on the interwebs how it wasn't cool to mock a guy who A: followed company policy and B: had legit emotional problems about it. Hunter (again) referred to him as "The Incredible Shrinking Man" on live TV. When Hunter cycled off he turned into Dino Bravo.
jdw
Good luck on Bleacher, Bix. Please avoid the Slideshows as much as possible. They really suck, and I see way too many of them in soccer coverage. I always get the Dave Scherer Spreading Out An Update Onto 10 Pages For Clicks feeling... and I don't think that's a vibe you want to give off. FLIK
Side rant, between looking on torrent sites and searching for Suprstars 8/26 on youtube took me forever to find a decent VQ copy of that show as weirdly WWE's official channel upload of the freakin show (which I didn't know they had) is not one of the 1st things that pops up. Was ready to give up when I accidently stumbled across a link to WWE's page from someone elses upload after I typed in McIntyre Masters. Also, holy shit there's a lot of fuckin Dreak McIntyre vs Chris Masters matches out thear. Any besides 8/26 I need to bother watching?
Dylan Waco
All of them are good but that's one of two that got a lot of time. The other was from earlier this year and is actually the best match they ever had. They had a two minute match on SD that was about as good a two minutes of wrestling as is humanly possible. There are several other Masters matches that could be added to Eric's list. Notably the Luke Gallows singles match from last year is the key one that I think was left off.
