Loss
This is when it happened. WCW had been laying the groundwork for quite some time, but this is where the turnaround really started. Obviously, Hogan took it to a different level a few weeks later. But this was quite the angle, and I think everyone expected some type of angle to advance things on that show, but Bischoff taking that bump was a shocker. Things are getting crazy, what's going to happen now?
El-P
The very smart move was to have Bischoff take that great bump just a few minutes after they answered clearly that they didn't work for the WWF. That awkward part of the angle was just brushed away by Bischoff getting powerbombed into oblivion. Great stuff.
Tim Evans
Typical WCW security taking a long ass time to help out Bischoff. Why didn't they just cut off Hall and Nash's mic when they talked after the powerbomb? Oh well, Great angle and leads to something even better. Zenjo
It was quite dangerous for a non-wrestler to take a bump like that. Great angle.
PeteF3
Quite the incredible follow-up to the shock heel turn. Schiavone is so disgusted he unleashes a "Jesus!" at the slow first responders.
soup23
Awesome bump and moment. Things are really picking up steam now and a nice touch at the end with TOny leaving the booth and Dream for once being speechless. A great angle that has built and built. BruiserBrody
The WON says part of the WWF lawsuit demands over Hall using Razor's mannerisms was that they wanted WCW to break Kayfabe 3 times during each Nitro and announce Hall and Nash were WCW employees who were part of a storyline and if the fans wanted to see WWF stars, they needed to turn on USA at 8 p.m.
tim
Great angle and a real ramp up in intensity in an eye-opening way. This storyline was a sort of vague, slow burning thing each week and this immediately kicked it up to another level. Everything is all very expected in terms of drawing out the angle -- Bischoff can't tell them who they're facing, we have to wait until Nitro -- but they're not taking it and Hall blasts Bischoff and Nash puts him through a table. It's sort of an old, negative talking point that WCW used PPVs to build to Nitro, but this sure makes me want to tune in to Nitro to see the aftermath. PhilTLL
A feeling of very real unease permeates the aftermath. They act like they just saw a tornado hit. Tony leaving to check on Bischoff and forcing Dusty to fill over a minute, lengthy silence after Dusty accidentally throws to Dave Penzer and then Michael Buffer, Luger stopping his entrance to check on Bischoff after many months of being portrayed as a self-centered jerk who loved entrances, all very effective moments. Marksman
First time in years I've watched that segment, and wow, getting goosebumps. As Phil says, a real sense of unease which makes it a home run.
