Loss Posted July 16, 2011 Author Report Posted July 16, 2011 Mantell vows the end of Brian Lee, as he'll be in the corner of Carl Styles later in the show. Rip Rogers states that he's the most fit man in wrestling, and we see some hilarious shots of fans screaming at him. Rogers announces that he's going to do squats for the entire hour of SMW TV. Quote
El-P Posted May 11, 2012 Report Posted May 11, 2012 The shots of fans are indeed hilarious. WWF should have signed Rip Rogers for the Body Donnas gimmick. Quote
MikeCampbell Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 Oh man, Rip as a Body Donna would have been awesome. The crowd shots were priceless, especially the women yelling shut up with a few missing teeth. Quote
WingedEagle Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Dutch & Rogers deliver pretty standard promos as SMW establishes its characters. I know SMW picks up in the months ahead, but Memphis was clearly on another level at this point. Quote
PeteF3 Posted July 13, 2013 Report Posted July 13, 2013 Those reaction shots are priceless. With those kinds of womanly charms attending shows, how could Storm and Jericho have resisted? Quote
xlynwoodx Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 My God, the fans they show here. I'm looking forward to more for SMW just to see more crowd shots! Rip Rogers doing squats for the WHOLE HOUR is great. Quote
GSR Posted August 19, 2015 Report Posted August 19, 2015 Dutch's friend Carl Styles is going to put an end to Brian Lee today, and although he's still a little under the weather he will be in Styles' corner for the match later in the show. Rogers claims to be the most well conditioned man in Smoky Mountain and to prove it will do free squats for the duration of the show. Dutch has been tremendous so far in Smoky Mountain and in this regional environment the likes of Rip Rogers and especially Barry Horowitz show what pretty bloody good hands they are. Quote
garretta Posted January 5, 2016 Report Posted January 5, 2016 I know the squats gimmick has been done before, but you wouldn't expect it from the likes of Rip Rogers. It'll be fun to see where this goes. I liked the crowd shots too. The contrast between the obvious fitness of Rogers and the fat toothless wonders they chose to show on camera couldn't have been more striking. Rogers is so disgusted he even channels Rick Rude briefly. Were they pushing Brian Lee or what? Everyone seemed to want him out of the way including the color commentator! Quote
dawho5 Posted April 6, 2020 Report Posted April 6, 2020 Those crowd shots were about perfect. An hour of squats would be impressive. Quote
