Always thought this was a cool idea. I remember the WWF copying it years later with the Wrestle Vessel. Neither idea was all that successful, I don't think.

Things like this always remind me of the piece Chuck Klosterman wrote called "That 70's Cruise" about attending one with Journey, REO Speedwagon and Styx.

I could only imagine if these things happened in the early 80's when guys partied a bit harder. Would have been something if Andre was on one.

I'm surprised the first one of these was successful enough to warrant a sequel. Scott Steiner is hilariously awkward for his 2 seconds on camera. I've never much cared about going on cruises but I really, really wanted to see one of the TV programs taped on one of these.

A cruise with the Freebirds from their heyday would have been a wild ride. From this time, probably not so much.

At least they didn't feature guys who were about to leave the company this year like they did with Flair last year. That's an improvement.

 

I wonder what it would be like to actually wrestle on board a ship. I know they advertised live cards on board in '91, and like Pete I'd love to see a fancam or TV footage of the matches which took place, if such things exist.

I guess this could be a fun way to meet other fans of WCW.  Not sure meeting your favorite wrestler and then getting to see them hanging around for a while on the cruise would be helpful for staying a fan though.
