Loss
Razor on the beach. Not much more to say about these, except that for whatever reason, Scott Hall had been floundering for years and this gimmick really saved his career. Tim Evans
Not only is the accent more heavy but he keeps talking slower and slower as these go on.
El-P
I loved those Razor vignette. Amazing how it made Scott Hall a career despite not being that different from the later Diamond Studd character.
flyonthewall2983
I'm amazed it took me however long it was between the first time I watched DePalma's Scarface and the time I saw Scott Hall's shoot that I didn't put 2 and 2 together, that Razor's character was largely taken from Tony Montana. Matt D
As a kid I wondered what he had against Tito Santana.
Kevin Ridge
What I like about Razor's segments compared to other's during this year is he has the actual goal of becoming WWF Champion.
WingedEagle
Ramon promo on the beach in Miami. I always loved when they built up new characters for a while before the debut.
PeteF3
The least of these vignettes so far. Razor explicitly states that he's after the WWF Title, which seems to be an indication that they had major plans for him from the start. garretta
This is probably the best series of vignettes that the WWF has run since DiBiase's debut five years before, even better than the Mr. Perfect vignettes, which were well done but not really relevant to wrestling. Razor may be a movie takeoff character, but Hall has him down pat. The best line of the series so far comes in this installment: "I'm not going to kick sand in your face, I'm going to kick your face into the sand!" Not exactly Shakespeare, but pretty damn good for a 1992 wrestling promo. I like that Hall's targeting the title, but hearing him say that reminds me that we still haven't seen him in the ring yet. That's the one problem with these vignettes being so good: Razor Ramon is such a great character right off the bat that you want to see him in the ring trying to back up his claims, and if they wait too much longer to pull the trigger, they risk losing the momentum they've built over the last few weeks. Apparently I was wrong; they actually flew Hall to Miami to do at least some of these. That's another touch which shows that Hall wasn't going to be just another cookie-cutter WWF heel. dawho5
I loved using the "cock-a-roach" line. And the way he delivered the "kick your face in the sand!" Great stuff.
