Strummer Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 He passed out ringside. They are performing CPR backstage. Doesn't look good. This sucks beyond words
Blehschmidt Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Judging by tweets from someone in attendance, the collapse apparently happened right about 10 PM.
Blehschmidt Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 and now not even Michael Cole is on commentary. Scary
Strummer Posted September 11, 2012 Author Report Posted September 11, 2012 Doesn't look good. I feel sick. This is unimaginable
goc Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I'm very concerned now that Michael Cole is no longer even doing commentary and is just sitting at the desk.
Strummer Posted September 11, 2012 Author Report Posted September 11, 2012 Lawler is one of my favorite wrestlers ever. This is the worst
hammerva Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Yeah Cole is at the commentary table but he is just a statue from the looks of it. He looked white as a ghost and scared to death with the announcement. This really doesn't sound good especially since he worked a match about 30 minutes before the seizure
flyonthewall2983 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 My first guess is that Michael was talking with people backstage, getting updates.
khawk20 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Weird this hasn't happened yet on Canadian TV due to the hour delay.
jpchicago23 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Man i really hope he pulls through this he is a true legend in and out of the ring. Wrestling is second right now i really hope he gets through this
Chess Knight Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I won't get Raw until another 27 hours; I just keep refreshing wwe.com to hopefully get updates on what's going on. It's scary.
flyonthewall2983 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Jerry's breathing on his own, but Michael's tone is pretty serious. This is not good, but not as bad as some of us feared
Strummer Posted September 11, 2012 Author Report Posted September 11, 2012 He's breathing on his own but doesn't look good
Blehschmidt Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Cole is leaving the booth. No commentary for the rest of the show.
flyonthewall2983 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 All things considered, that's the right thing for them to do. Feel bad for the guys who have to carry on the show despite this.
Blehschmidt Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 This is just eerie. The crowd hardly cares. The silence is chilling.
hammerva Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 The Cena/Hart segment at the end of the show is going to be awkward as hell. Hopefully they just decide to get rid of it
tim Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 When did this happen exactly? I tuned in at the beginning of the del Rio match, found it odd the crowd was so dead, but didn't notice Cole mentioning anything until his announcement that he was going off commentary.
hammerva Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 This is just eerie. The crowd hardly cares. The silence is chilling. Not sure if the crowd really knows what is going on. I mean it is quiet but except for Bret/Punk stuff the crowd was kind of dead to begin with.
flyonthewall2983 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I just happened to watch Jerry's match at the gym tonight and marveled at how he could do a dropkick at his age.

He apparently collapsed right around 10 PM Eastern Time
flyonthewall2983 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 Jerry's becoming more responsive, and he's being prepped for a CAT scan.
Dylan Waco Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I'm hearing it was a massive heartattack which is not exactly surprising given what we already know. This segment with Cena/Punk/Hart just feels really wrong on this show. Makes Bret's criticisms of the Owen show going on look unbelievably self serving
hammerva Posted September 11, 2012 Report Posted September 11, 2012 I don't want to sound like I am defending Bret but Owen was officially dead about half way through the show while the King is still fighting and actually improving. Of course that doesn't mean he is out of the picture but in WWE world that is mild grounds

Of course that doesn't mean he is out of the picture but in WWE world that is mild grounds I don't disagree with you, nor did I mean to imply that Bret is an asshole. Just that it doesn't LOOK good.
