Loss
Jake delivers a strong promo pointing out that the only way to get to DiBiase is to take his belt, so that's what he did. Good stuff.
PeteF3
Quick and to the point. You can't hurt DiBiase by doing anything to Virgil and no injury could make up for Jake's time on the sidelines--so you have to hit him where it hurts. soup23
The snippets of the Jake/Dibiase feud have been short but really well done and get across the stakes for both men in the feud. We have not seen much Rhodes/Macho interaction but so far this has been the semi man match build for mania.
Kevin Ridge
It really is effective in getting over the points of the storyline and Jake's reasoning and he does it in such a short period of time.
Cox
One of my first memories of wrestling is the Roberts/DiBiase feud and an angle I suspect will be taking place shortly so it's definitely nostalgic to watch this for me. JerryvonKramer
Think this is a terrific angle and is something I'd point to when I say you have to look beyond just matches when assessing guys. Â I think both guys are phenomenal in the build. Jake in particular delivers some career-high promos. This wasn't one of them, but it was still pretty good. Laney
Nice promo here with Roberts explaining why he took the Million Dollar belt. This feud has had some pretty good build thus far, definitely the best build at this point for Mania besides Warrior/Hogan.
bradhindsight
Crowd was amped for Jake here. Cool to see such heat behind the feud.
garretta
Jake explains why he took the Million Dollar Belt concisely and with conviction, and the build to his Mania showdown with DiBiase begins. As Parv said, not his best ever, but more than adequate for its purpose. Â Loved Mean Gene assuming that Jake was going to inflict some sort of testicular injury on Teddy as revenge for his own neck injury. Jake, unfortunately, cuts him off at the pass. The timing was perfect for a grin and an evil chuckle there before he whipped out the belt.
drew wardlaw
Jake the Snake with Damian, sadness prevails.
GSR
Jake is out for an interview with Mean Gene. He cuts Okerlund off and says that Ted Dibiase has been blowing hard for so long and he's had enough of it. There is only one way that he can get to him and it's not by doing something to Virgil, it's not by inflicting a small injury or by taking his health, it's by hitting him where it hurts. He pulls the Million Dollar belt out of Damian's bag and tells Dibiase if he wants it, bring his Million Dollar butt and get it. Â Decent little interview and the crowd were really into this. dawho5
There's something to be said for being able to turn Jake the Snake into a beloved babyface without sacrificing key elements of the character. Jake made it look easy, but it seems to me that would have been a challenge.
Stiva
Great promo from Jake. I agree that the transformation into a face was handled perfectly with him. Mean Gene fearing for his life when Jake reached into the bag. Damien is still the most feared worker in the company.
