Loss
WILD THING. One of the most memorable PPV hype commercials from my childhood. So bad it's good.
PeteF3
Better than the WrestleRock Rumble, and shorter and to the point.
soup23
Wow, don't know how this is supposed to hype you for the PPV but whatever. I will pretend to think they were making this for comedic value 22 years in the future.
Kevin Ridge
Sounded like Will Smith rapping here. Didn't real fit WCW at the time but they are probably trying to play off the growing popularity of rap.

shoe
I always remember this theme and the Starcade 88 True Grit!!!! one.
JerryvonKramer
shoe, I am unhappy with this being compared to the awesome Starrcade 88 theme. I like that the version of rap they used in 1990 had that 1983-4 Run DMC sound -- wrestling has to be at least 6 years out of date. This is rap in a world where Eric B and Rakim, Public Enemy, N.W.A., and Ice Cube's solo stuff never happened.
Rock_Of_Jericho
A sad fact is that, despite not having seen this commercial in over twenty years, I still knew all the words.
Laney
Horrible song here, but much like the Clash promo this is so bad it's good.
PhilTLL
I honestly can't decide whether or not they knew that "Wild Thing" by Tone Loc existed. Not because they would use it--lord no. But because if they did, they would have gone another direction with this.
garretta
I remember this one like it was yesterday. Maybe I'm strange, but this was too short to offend me, or make any other real impression either. What did you guys expect, a Grammy-winning classic? It's wrestling, for heaven's sake! drew wardlaw
i always thought the rapping was a strange choice for a military themed PPV. Would have preferred some black and white war footage with like power electronics or something over it.
GSR
'Hey homeboy gather around, some serious stuff is gonna go down. For the Wrestle War daddy, the King of the Ring, all come together and do the Wild Thing. Lex Luger, the Steiner, Nature Boy, Sting, yeah they'll all be doing that Wild Thing. Yeah they'll all be there with something to prove, brimming with intentions to bust a move. It's Pay Per View excitement from T. H. E, for more information call your cable company!' Had someone been watching the Wrestlerock Rumble video?
