Loss
A Dutch Mantell music video to a Willie Nelson song (which has a clip of Travis taking an incredible bump off of a clothesline) starts us off before we segue into a Chris Champion video to Motley Crue's "Wildside". THE HAIR! There are some weird effects mixed in with some good wrestling clips. Champion was solid. Then, we wrap up with a Jeff Jarrett music video to Expose's "Point of No Return". This looks at least a year old based on the clips included mostly being from 1987-1988.
PeteF3
Champion and Mantell all have current clips while the Jarrett clips are against Bockwinkel and stuff from the Showboat in Vegas, which is an odd but not really distracting contrast. Does Champion look vaguely like Sam Kinison during those video effect close-ups?
soup23
Dutch video was good and I thought the bump that Lawler took in the video was incredible. Â Champion video actually fit well and he looked more competent than I would have thought but the green graphics was distracting. Â Jarrett video looked dated both in song and footage but I must admit that I had never heard that song before but I did have to listen to it again on youtube. Kevin Ridge
Thought Dutch's video was the best. Champion did a pretty good thrust/superkick from what is shown in his highlights. Bock showing up in Jarrett's was surprising but not really fitting if it is old footage.
Cox
Fun videos. One thing Memphis and Dallas were both known for is producing good music videos, and these are no exception. It seemed like the Jarrett video repeated a bunch of clips, though, in addition to being about a year old.
JerryvonKramer
Jarrett's video seemed lke it came from a different time and place. What was Bock doing there? Â One thing is clear: the man can do an arm drag.
PeteF3
Memphis booked Bockwinkel as traveling World Champion a lot, much more than the NWA title. Mostly against Lawler, but occasionally against others, Jarrett being one of the last. Great match, too.
Laney
I love watch old wrestling music videos. I thought Dutch's was the best out of these three. Champion's had some really bad attempts at lip synching and Jarrett's just repeated a bunch of old clips. Still fun to watch.
garretta
These seemed like videos used to introduce Memphis talent to the Dallas audience, and they were successful, Did Champion carry his snake to the ring like Jake Roberts, at least on occasion, or was he using it for the video only? drew wardlaw
There was a disappointing lack of surrealism or Jeff Jarrett in a towel here. Thumbs down.
GSR
First up we get a Dutch Mantel music video set to 'Nothing I Can Do About It Now' by Willie Nelson. Some interesting clips in this one as we see Dutch against Mark Callous, Scott Steiner and the Dirty White Boy. Lawler also takes a hell of a bump over the top rope to the floor in the highlights here. Next up is one devoted to Chris Champion and his world's greatest hair. This time it's 'Wild Side' by Motley Crue, with plenty of clips of Champion carrying a snake around his neck and also bearing a bit of a resemblance to Slash from Guns 'n' Roses. Finally it's a Jeff Jarrett video set to 'Point Of No Return' by Expose. The clips here (including some from the Showboat for the AWA) are all from 1987/8 and we see Jarrett being competitive and on the offensive against Nick Bockwinkel, Curt Hennig and Jerry Lawler. dawho5
Dutch had a wicked short clothesline. Champion had a pretty decent superkick to go with the awesome 80s hair. Jarrett...umm, didn't look like he sucked?
cactus
Dutch looked rather badass in his video, the others not so much.
