Kerry Von Erich and Jeff Jarrett are out to offer Marc a plaque and honor him, and he seems to be enjoying the attention, which I can't blame him too much for. Marc wants to talk to Kerry about the Matt Borne situation, and Kerry says they will talk later. Marc looks right at the camera and goes into quite the monologue of thanks. His last couple of years in World Class established him, to me, as one of the territorial days' most underrated announcers. Not Lance Russell...but not terribly far behind, either. And goodness, even during his farewell he's working to get the current angles and matches over. A figure of legitimate professionalism in a promotion that often lacked it. Lowrance has supposedly said that he got more learning experience and preparation for preaching through wrestling announcing than he did in seminary. Cox Posted February 6, 2013 Report Share Posted February 6, 2013 Marc Lowrance has added a goofy sort of professionalism to the often times wildly unprofessional Texas branch of the USWA, and that will be missed. I know this will pick up some more later when Kerry Von Erich leaves for the WWF, but this feels like another step towards the old World Class territory dying up for good. A truly heartfelt tribute to one of the last vestiges of the old WCCW, with a cameo by Jeff Jarrett representing the Memphis side. What I liked most was that Marc didn't make this all about him, though no one could have faulted him if he had. He's in there pitching for the current angles right up to the end and encouraging the fans to have their normal good time. His message is that while he'll be leaving, the USWA will keep on, and that's something wrestling fans (and all people) tend to forget at times like these, when momentous change is affecting their lives. So long, Reverend Marc. I have a feeling that we're going to miss you just as fervently as your parishioners welcomed you, if the people you've been working with lately are any indication. Did he really become a pastor? Kerry seems a bit more together than usual here, so that's nice. Marc Lowrance, the consummate professional, tries to get some info about Kerry's situation, which honestly I forget what that is, but Kerry says it's Marc's time to shine. He's featured in the Heroes of World Class documentary, saying that his time there he learned more about life from his time working for the Von Erichs than he ever did in seminary. GSR Posted December 29, 2016 Report Share Posted December 29, 2016 John Brozell, Kerry Von Erich and Jeff Jarrett walk down the aisle to surprise Marc Lowrance as he is in the process of linking to some VT. Brozell says how they are sad to see him leaving them, but they are excited about his career in the ministry and present him with a plaque from the fans, staff and management of the USWA in recognition of ten years dedicated service to the sport of professional wrestling. Edwin (not sure who he is, maybe a fan?) gives a really touching tribute to Lowrance, calling him the finest wrestling announcer in the profession today and that they all consider themselves very fortunate to have had him with them in the USWA. Kerry says that he’s going to miss Marc and there is nothing he can say, or nothing that he can give him, to show their appreciation enough for what he’s done for them and the USWA. He wishes him good luck in the ministry and says that he’s always be welcome back at the Sportatorium. Jarrett feels a little cheated that he’s only known Marc for just over a year, but he’s helped him out, helped everyone out and wishes him the best and invites him to come back and see them. Lowrance tries to bring things back to what is going on with Kerry at the moment, but he tells him that this is his moment and they’ll talk later. This was a very classy and nice tribute to Lowrance, and one that he appeared to know nothing about judging by the look on his face when he saw Brozell, Kerry and Jarrett coming down the aisle. And he is sill pushing all of the current angles and urging fans to continue showing up over taking the limelight. You will be missed Mr. Lowrance.
