Loss
Talk about it here.
Loss
Total chaos, as Toni jumps on Jeanne before the match starts and there's a catfight! Austin and Adams have a brawl before Austin can even get out of his ring robe. John Brazille comes down and says if the women don't stay out of the ring, he will ban all of them from the Sportatorium. Austin and Adams finally get started, and Austin seems to be improving by the week, even with Adams still carrying things. Jeanne runs in after a ref bump and gets spanked! Meanwhile, Austin ties Toni up in the ropes while Adams is distracted. I do have to admit that all of that blond hair flying around is a pretty fun visual. This feud is just now starting to heat up. PeteF3
John Brazelle is no Eddie Marlin, that's for sure. It's amazing how over Toni is already, and I think it's more of a testament to how good Jeannie was at getting under the fans' skin. The match is barely that as Bronko Lubich gets decked and the bout is thrown out, leading to more post-match catfighting, Adams spanking Jeannie, and Jeannie slapping Chris some more. soup23
Not much of a match but a really hot angle. The crowd is chanting for Toni even before she comes out. I love storylines in wrestling where valets seem vital and this is shaping up to be one of the best I have ever seen.
shoe
Toni Adams is super over. The cat fight spots seem so real. Adams should know how to work a valet feud since his and Jimmy Garvin's probably drew more money than any other valet feud for sure in Texas. Kevin Ridge
The ladies get physically involved with each other before the match starts. Any further outside interference will lead to a banning from Sporitorium. Ref gets bumped. Adams spanks his ex-wife Jeanie a couple times. Chris must have enjoyed that. Match ends in a double DQ. Jeannie was coming close to falling out of her top. Ladies are showing some hate.
Cox
Another hot angle with these four. Doesn't the matchmaker know that it's no real threat to get banned from the Sportatorium? Most of the wrestlers would kill to get banned from that shithole.
garretta
This was another tremendous brawl between these four, but it seems at times as though Austin, Jeannie, and Toni are on one level and Chris is a notch below them. It's always Chris who's left laying or struggling to catch up while Toni races up the aisle after Austin and Jeannie, always Chris who's getting beaten up by Jeannie (and that's no exaggeration; she lays her shots in but good), always Chris who's a step slow on the mic. He probably booked it himself or asked that it be booked this way in order to get Austin and Jeannie over, and if that's true, more credit to him. But if it isn't, you have to wonder just what Jarrett really thought of him. He's not as charismatic as the Memphis guys, but he's an above-average in-ring worker who's been one of the top guys in Dallas since he got there, someone who those fans see as one of their own as much as any of the Von Erichs. Add to that his value as a trainer, as seen by Austin's tremendous strides throughout his rookie year, and you wonder why Jarrett could possibly want to make him look this bad, at least so far. I'm aware that this feud has a couple of more months to run, so hopefully for Chris's sake things turn around soon, at least a little. This was a good way to set up the wives' future involvement, as you know something as meager as a ban from the Sportatorium won't stop these ladies from getting it on. For whatever reason, John Brazelle seems more authoritative in his role as matchmaker/lawgiver than Eddie Marlin does, even though he doesn't get physically involved. His pronouncements still aren't worth a hill of beans, of course, but he looks and sounds a lot better while he delivers them. I wonder if Jeannie and Toni got along well outside the ring. You would think they'd have to in order to trust each other in the ring the way they obviously do.
drew wardlaw
Yes! Seems like the only way to settle this will be a mixed tag match. Easy to see now why this feud was hyped. Would've loved to hear another promo by Toni. Steve Austin's hair is so wispy. It's starting to remind me of Bill Murray's hair in King Pin. GSR
Steve Austin has got a new robe and Jeannie looks seriously fucking hot! They see Chris Adams stood on his own in the ring and wonder ‘where his bimbo wife is now?’ as they don’t see her. Austin and Jeannie enter the ring, but from the back comes Toni and she makes a beeline straight for Jeannie. The women have another ECW-style catfight while the men also go at it. When Austin finally gets an advantage, he pulls Toni off Jeannie and throws her to the canvas. Adams and Austin go at it again, then so do Jeannie and Toni. The women don’t hold back one bit with each other! Austin once more drags Toni off Jeannie and matchmaker John Brozell is out and into the ring. Brozell is not the most charismatic of men, telling them in his monotone voice to ‘cut it out’ and ‘hold them back’. He says that the matches were signed between Chris Adams and Steve Austin, not the women, and if there is any more outside interference he will bar them all from the Sportatorium. The crowd are going wild for Toni at this point, chanting her name as Chris prevents her from going after Jeannie. Brozell is finally able to get some sort of control out there and they ring the bell to start the match. The match has only gone just over a minute when Austin goes to hit Adams, who ducks, and he accidentally hits Bronco Lubich instead. Adams with a clothesline off the middle turnbuckle, when in comes Jeannie to make the save. Adams sees her coming though, grabs her, puts her over his knee and starts spanking her. Needless to say Jeannie’s involvement bring Toni back in, but while spanking Jeannie, Adams misses seeing Austin tie his wife up in the ropes. Jeannie slaps Toni but this seems to accidentally free her and the four of them are back fighting in the ring. Austin manhandles Toni again, puts Chris in a full nelson and Jeannie starts slapping him, good and proper this week! Toni comes to Chris’ aid and when the woman go at it yet again, Austin appears to have had enough. He pulls Toni off Jeannie and they head to the back with Toni running after them. I’ve mentioned previously that I thought Austin was coming out on top too often in this feud, even if he loses he would leave Adams beaten and layed out post-match. Now after watching this (and reading garretta’s post), I’m of the opinion that Adams is being super generous and booking this so everyone looks strong but himself. You only have to hear the crowd response to Toni, who is more over here in just her second appearance, than Chris is. Even in the small things like having her being the one who chases after Austin and Jeannie, while Chris walks back. Kudos to him for trying to make three new stars at his own expense. Jeannie continues to shine in this segment, and I liked the way she was running her mouth and goading Toni whilst stood behind Austin when Brozell was in the ring. dawho5
I caught that as well, with Toni being the aggressive one out of the two and chasing down Austin and Jeannie. Who really wears the pants here? Good outing for everyone and it's kind of strange to see a match involving the ladies where they get every bit as vicious and aggressive as the men. El-P
Austin coming out to "Fame" is terrific. Him & Jeannie are a great heel blondie couple. The valet really do a terrific job in this feud. This is a lost art, sadly.
