hammerva
Gee what did Jim Ross say this weekend to get that reaction or just the usual crap. What did I miss? JBL was kissing up McMahon's commentary and Lawler for some reason asked how would you compare JR to Vince in commentary and said that Vince spoke English and it was like comparing ice cream to horse manure. Eventually Cole had to tell them to calm down. Not a huge deal just haven't heard one in a while
Stiva
Gee what did Jim Ross say this weekend to get that reaction or just the usual crap. What did I miss? Lawler asked JBL how he'd compare JR's commentary to Vince's and he said "At least, Vince spoke English. That's like comparing horse manure to ice cream" and then topped it off with a shitty impression for good measure. Lawler calling Sheamus Italian too, man. The day they replace Lawler with Regal and JBL with, I don't know, some kind of oscillating fan, I'll be over the moon.
sek69
Knowing JBL is the mouthpiece, maybe Vince is pissed JR is doing good business with his speaking shows. Or that there's a lot of people on tweeting about how the WWE Network made them miss JR on commentary.
C.S.
I'd say it's more because this made it onto TMZ. Vince McMahon -- CAUGHT SHARTING ON SMACKDOWN ... Says Jim Ross http://www.tmz.com/2014/03/03/vince-mcmahon-shart-smackdown-jim-ross/ J.R. is no longer playing the battered, abused housewife who comes back for more quite as much. He's starting to break free just a tad bit.
Dylan Waco
That Sheamus v. Christian match might be the best match I've ever seen get completely shit on. Sheamus is seen as a machine guy and is screwed in front of these indie smark fetish crowds.
tim
that match was actually damn good but it wasnt the right match to put on this RAW. with an atmosphere like this you don't want two upper midcarders in a not particularly interesting feud having a long singles match. unless it's part of a compelling angle with wrestlers the crowd feels very strongly about, keep it short and ideally in multi-man matches where things can keep moving and lots of signature spots can be thrown out to keep popping the crowd. Do they keep HHH away from this crowd?
sek69
Or it could be that they've done that match a million times in the last two weeks or so, and it's two characters fans have zero reason to give a shit about.
goodhelmet
They nearly won them over in the end. Also, when nearly every arena you run is giving you the same reaction, it no longer becomes an indy fetish crowd and it becomes the norm.

This is the same stuff that people shit on TNA audiences for and rightly so.
Steenalized
Christian and Sheamus had a really good match. But yeah, wrong place, wrong time as far as getting a crowd response. Truthfully, I don't think anyone would respond kindly. No one cares about Christian and the crowds turned on Sheamus a while back
sek69
The internet turning on crowds is a real snake-eating-its own-tail phenomenon.

They've had tv angles to set up there matches and have not gotten a reaction like this at all elsewhere. I love Cesaro, but his match with Big E was the epitome of throwaway trash and it got a huge response for obvious reasons
