Jmare007
That's a good question, when was the last time HHH showed ass like that? It was great seeing him fully commited to being a good ol' heel again.
Strummer
The only other time hey showed ass like that was during the Big Show stuff. A little during the Rhodes Brothers stuff but that was forgotten pretty fast. They really need to make up for that mania and post mania
Loss
Do HHH and Stephanie disappear post-Wrestlemania to give Daniel Bryan time to have a run? Or would that be a mistake since they have something that seems to be working? If Vince comes back after Mania, that leaves an opening for at least HHH to take time off, and that also leaves Bryan to feud with an authority figure that will probably be more likely to show ass. Â Whether HHH, Stephanie and Kane have shown enough ass or not (and they haven't), this has worked because the audience has insisted on it working. If they try to feud with a different babyface at some point, I'm not sure how it will translate, but we'll see. Â I do think Big Show teaming with Bryan is to position Show for a post-WM heel turn and feud with Bryan at some point. Batista is also an obvious opponent, and they HAVE to do the Brock match. Bryan got into the championship match when Lesnar asked to as well and didn't. The story writes itself.
Loss
Oh, and how did I forget Bray Wyatt? That's four heels right there. Five if you count an Orton rematch, which I can't see them doing. Cesaro is slated to get a big push after Wrestlemania and Orton seems like the right guy to feud with him.
Jmare007
Orton probably gets his rematch the next night on RAW.
goodhelmet
Not all of the heels have to gun for Daniel Bryan in a feud. You still have that 2000 lb elephant in the room, John Cena, right there. The most organic thing feels like a Bryan-Batista feud. Bryan can carry "a visibly winded nearly every time he hits the ring" Batista to some decent matches. Bryan and Big Show have good chemistry so that can be done with the roles reversed but they may have soured on Show for good after Survivor Series. Throw in a 3-way rematch at the post-Mania PPV. Hell, Bryan vs. Mark henry would be awesome for a month or two. Henry talks about how he used to be respected in the company, he used to be a main event player until BD stole his thunder and he lays waste to the new champ. have him cut a kickass promo like the retirement promo and the network servers crash for their showdown. Loss
The point is that Bryan has no shortage of potential main event matches in his future.
goodhelmet
And my point is there is no need to rush through them. What we are saying isn't contentious to the other.
(BP)
As long as he doesn't work Del Rio three PPV's in a row...
Jmare007
So on SD! The Shield "turned" on Kane and laid him out to end the show. I can see Ambrose selling out to the Authority and setting up a tag team match with Kane against Rollins/Reigns but that would be lackluster as fuck. Maybe they actually go with Ambrose defending the US Title and Harper/Rowan vs Reigns/Rollins?
Johnny Sorrow
Maybe they just teased the break up to test reactions, knowing full well the gimmick still has legs by evolving them into Anti-heroes.
Dylan Waco
I think there is a real possibility that everyone just gets buried in the battle royal. They are presenting it as a big deal so it has to have some "names." Would not be the least bit surprised if we had a woman's match, Usos v. NAO and the Battle Royal as the only other three matches on the show besides the four that are currently announced. I hope note because on paper that is a shit show of a card to my tastes, but I have no faith in them after the last couple of mania's
Moonsault Marvin
And my point is there is no need to rush through them. i'm scared that Bryan won't have much chance to main event. Cena will be there demanding his win back. If they hired Batista for promotional reasons, he probably needs the title before his movie comes out the beginning of August. Bryan may get the Wrestlemania moment, but lose the title soon after.
Johnny Sorrow
When has Cena ever been known as someone who "wants his win back"?

Moonsault Marvin
I don't think it is unreasonable to think they will setup a Bryan vs Cena rematch from Summerslam. WWE likes "even steven" booking.
Johnny Sorrow
And again, if they brought back Batista because of Guardians of the Galaxy then they're doing a terrible job since they haven't mentioned it once.

Johnny Sorrow
Cena HAD to win that. It was the logical culmination of the story.

Moonsault Marvin
Johnny, Â I think Cena will remain the ace for at least several more years. I think that includes beating Bryan at some point in the future. I don't know how fast that will happen or if they will wait a while. I don't think they will keep Bryan on top for long, even though I wish they would. Maybe, I'm totally wrong.
Johnny Sorrow
That's fine. Cena IS THE top guy. But there are a few guys who are also top guys . Bryan is one of them and is about to be even bigger . Remember, for better or worse, TOP guy isn't married to being WWE Champ. Shit, Look at Punk's long boring reign until he turned heel.
