Were they supposed to come unglued for that Bella handicap match? Good booking gets reactions, weak booking doesn't.

Richmond is a better wrestling town than anyone gives us credit for. Look at all the DVDVR guys from around the area, this is a wrestling hotbed damn it!

I don't think the Steph/Bellas stuff is as over as they thought it would be. I agree with Jason Powell that Nikki is tough to feel sympathy for, especially if you watch Total Divas. I'm sure the heat will rev up when Brie returns and attacks Steph

The Brie/Steph stuff got over because Bryan was closely associated with it and being we saw a little bit of Steph getting comeuppance. Neither of those things are going on with this Nikki-centric build so why would anyone care yet? It'll be hot by the time of the match I'd guess, especially if they get a couple Bryan cameos.

When was the last time someone actually lost the world title at a Fatal 4 Way match? I know it happened a few times with the little belts but can't remember the last time the big title changed.

Man I hope that Seth Rollins is just selling and he didn't hurt his leg

That was cooler than anything I saw TNA do with Sting. Shit, I'm not even a big fan and I marked out a bit. Did the announcers reference it ?

Unless I missed it, the announcers never mentioned Sting by name. They teased "an unlockable player" for WWE 2K15 that was only available through pre-order.

I'm guessing that wasn't piped through to the arena crowd, though, because they had a HUGE reaction to Sting showing up on the Titantron...then started to boo a bit when the 2K15 logo came up and it became clear that he was only appearing in-game.

Jericho is over to the point where he doesn't have to be interesting or good and will just absorb his opponent's heat, and I'm not sure that there's anything worse than that.

I just feel like they don't really have the right narrative going. I'm a fan of both guys, but Wyatt is swinging and missing by mocking the "save us" Jericho stuff, and Jericho is swinging and missing with the quiet-and-serious "along came a spider" junk. (It doesn't help that Jericho looks like garbage in the ring, though age and rust will do that to you.)

It's a fantasy booking angle where they wrote "Jericho/Wyatt" on the blackboard, told both guys to rock it on the mic to build the feud, and walked away...without realizing that they've left both guys without any real ammunition to build it.

For Wyatt, all of it feels like a second-rate rerun of his Cena promos, which went absolutely nowhere. Meanwhile, Jericho is doing a fine job of boosting himself and getting some of those precious Y2J chants -- which I'll admit is important since he has to "rebuild" his history for new fans --- but he's falling flat once he leaves the Y2J schtick to connect back to Wyatt, partly because he can't find the right note, partly because he has so little to work with.

Wyatt attacked him...because? And then, whenever Jericho tries to return the favor, the rest of the Family shows up - rinse, repeat. It's a crappy storyline and, on paper, Jericho and Wyatt might normally be good enough to salvage it. In reality, though, neither guy is apparently up to the task.

And I'd say Wyatt's heat has been damaged much more by his booking vs. Cena than anything that Jericho is doing. The mystique is long gone.

I liked RAW a lot tonight. The Swagger/Zeb/Lana/Rusev segment was great, old school TV. The Sheamus match was fun. Fandango/Dolph was OK. Big E./Cesaro was fun. Thought Jericho's promo was good. Main was OK. Don't really have any complaints. Was a good week.

The Wyatt/Jericho feud is very indicative of Wyatt in general so far - there's not enough tangibility for the fans to connect with. The Cena feud was able to get away with it because, well, it's Cena, and anything he does attracts attention, and Wyatt gained from it. But they can only get away with this talking about nothing for so long before people see through it. It's as if they're not actually creative enough at all to do some outside the box angles with Wyatt, so that the face has something to tangibly react to.

Side note, the Sting video was amazing. Sixty seconds, but gave my goosebumps. Fantastic piece of work.

Both the World and WWE titles changed hands on the first and last Fatal 4-Way pay-per-view on June 20th, 2010. Jack Swagger lost the World title to Rey Mysterio in a match featuring both CM Punk and Big Show, while John Cena lost the WWE title to Sheamus in a match featuring both Randy Orton and Edge.

SK has apparently reported that the Rollins injury was a work, to remove any idea that he'll cash in after the main at Battleground, which ostensibly explains the Ambrose beatdown and that their Battleground match will be canceled, so they can have their cake and eat it too and stretch out that feud. Never mind the knock-on effect that it has on the title, that is insane, can of worms booking with what is their hottest feud by a hundred miles.
