Strummer Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 PWI still insisting that Sting v Taker is the plan for Mania
KrisZ Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 Meltzer has said the same in the WON recently
Strummer Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 Ha tonight is already the "go home" show for the TLC PPV. they are taping tribute to the troops along with Smackdown making it a 4/5 hour taping tomorrow night
sek69 Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 The production people are going to collapse after this week, RAW has an extra half hour with the Slammys on the network, Smackdown/Troops show tomorrow, NXT Show on Thursday, NXT tapings Friday and then the PPV Sunday.
goodhelmet Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Man... Charlotte's debut felt sort of important... until they had her pinned in her debut. Stupid.
Coffey Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Yeah, that seemed really counter productive to me. She seemed like a deer in headlights. Didn't really get to do anything to shine. Came out as NXT champ to hype the NXT PPV on Thursday. Then jobbed to Natalya in a nothing match. Just...I don't know. Doesn't make a lick of sense.
pol Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 If you look at how they book the NXT vs. main roster matches they obviously feel it's important to put over even the bottom rung main roster guys as superior to everyone in developmental. I can see where they're coming from and I know from Japan that the 'climbing the ladder' approach to building someone up can work but I don't know that it's ever worked in WWE.
BillThompson Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Pretty sure it is her in-ring debut for a televised main roster show. She had the WMXXX eye candy appearance, and she did a few house shows, but that's all.
EvenStevenBooking Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 It's not her main roster debut. She's not going to be on TV and in 2 or 3 months when she starts full time it's not going to be referenced or remembered.
hammerva Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Yeah that was her first in-ring performance so it should have been treated much special. I mean half the crowd has no clue that Charlotte was one of the 3 divas in the Triple H entrance. If you wanted to showcase NXT stars but her in the ring with someone like becky Lynch or Emma. Sure the WWE won't mention it. Hell they can't remember what they did last week most of the time. The fans who watch RAW will remember unless you are going to hold her off for a good year
BillThompson Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 That is a silly argument, it's a match on a main roster show, that is televised, and it's her first, so it is her debut. You'll remember, I'll remember, 99% of the fan base will remember, which is why the end result is counter productive. Count out, DQ, etc. are made for situations like that match.
El Boricua Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 I heard the sirens and for a moment thought Scott Steiner was showing up to challenge Bray to a rambling contest.
EvenStevenBooking Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 99% of the fan base will remember Nope. Does the average fan remember the NXT tag match on RAW from a few months ago? They're not going to remember a 4 minute divas match.
BillThompson Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 They most likely do remember that match and will remember this one. Wrestling fans, casual or otherwise, tend to display pretty graphic memories for the most minute things.
shoe Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 99% of the fan base will remember Nope. Does the average fan remember the NXT tag match on RAW from a few months ago? They're not going to remember a 4 minute divas match. They're more likely to remember this one because her last name is Flair.
EvenStevenBooking Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 They most likely do remember that match and will remember this one. Wrestling fans, casual or otherwise, tend to display pretty graphic memories for the most minute things. No, they don't and won't. Where did you get that idea? Most wrestling fans are not the kind of folk you find on boards like this. Unless it's a main event star, they're not going to remember.
EvenStevenBooking Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 What a silly argument. No, it's not a silly argument. You are the silly one, not I. Begone, silly person, begone! That aside, this has been a fairly boring RAW so far. Nothing has really stuck out aside from the Wyatt/Ambrose segment. Anyone running a tally on the amount of Big Show/Cena matches there have been?

Most wrestling fans are not the kind of folk you find on boards like this. Unless it's a main event star, they're not going to remember. I'm not talking about people on boards, but people at work who only watch WWE and can ring off stuff that happened five years ago that I barely remember.
EvenStevenBooking Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 I wouldn't consider those casual fans then.
broccoman Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 A loss isn't going to kill Charlotte- she's too good for that.
tim Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Bray is by FAR the Wyatt I like/care about the least.
EvenStevenBooking Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 Yeah, I hope we get a Harper/Rowan feud after Ziggler inevitably shoots back down the card. That was a fun little sprint.
BillThompson Posted December 9, 2014 Report Posted December 9, 2014 A loss isn't going to kill Charlotte- she's too good for that. Last I checked Emma is dead in the water, Nattie is teetering on the edge of being dead all the time, Alicia Fox has been dead ever since she actually became good, etc. Being good in the WWE does not matter if you're a woman, at least as long as Dunn and Vince are around.
