goc
The Big Guy rules. Seemed to me he was just trolling and got a lot of people to bite.I also like to think that he has no idea about the fact that his deleted tweets are still on the WWE page. I have no idea how WWE screwed up such an easy character as "Big Dumb Bully." The best part of the whole Bully Ryback segments was the one at SummerSlam where he complains about his soup being cold and he's told that it's supposed to be cold because it's Gazpacho soup. His reaction was the best character work he's done in WWE, and it's kind of too bad that segment happened at SummerSlam instead of on Raw because then I think more people would remember it. I also tried finding a video of it on youtube, etc. but it was only a couple of small clips and not the whole thing.

cm funk
Does anyone know the actual count on appearances Brock has already made on his current contract? I'm under the impression that the second one he signed called for more dates than the first, at a different $ amount. There was even rumors of a storyline/title run guarantee in that. I know Meltzer has always dismissed the idea of guaranteed title runs in contracts....but if you think The Rock for example when he signed his deal didn't have a guarantee that he was winning the belt and dropping it in the rematch with Cena....you're nuts. I can see Brock having the same type of thing in his deal, and they've already hinted at him going after the winner of Cena/Orton. I think it's completely logical that Cena beats Orton, drops the belt in the rematch with Brock @ EC, and Brock drops the belt at WM to Batista. That may not happen, but that's probably how I'd book things. Anyway, on the dates, he returned the night after WM in 2012 on a 1 yr contract, so I assume the new contract went into effect the night after WM last year. He wrestled 3 matches on the first one. On this one he's done the build up and cage match with Hunter. Then he did the build up and SS match with Punk. Now he's back in January with 2 appearances burned already, and a match against Big Show of all people at the Rumble. One has to assume he's a semi-regular up through WM. So he's having at least 4 matches this time, and I kind of expect him to wrestle at EC too. Rock last year wrestled at Rumble-EC-Mania.
Zoo Enthusiast
I don't recall the number of contracted dates becoming public on the new deal.
cm funk
Of course Rock cared. They even introduced a new title belt for him which he proudly displayed all over the place.
sek69
I'm not sure that belt was for him, I thought they made it a while before they revealed it but were afraid to replace the spinner belt because kids bought tons of replicas. Sean Liska
If Rock wanted a 5-second win on RAW over HHH, Vince would make it happen. I doubt he has to worry about special clauses ensuring he gets a title run. Vince isn't going to not give Rock the WWE Title if he's willing to take it. Rock could hold that belt for two years and defend it every 6 months if he wanted.
Steven
So Kofi, who's been jobbing for literally months now, gets a clean pin over Orton? That's...random.
sek69
So Kofi, who's been jobbing for literally months now, gets a clean pin over Orton? That's...random. Well it led to Orton freaking out and beating up Cena's dad (again) so at least there was a storyline reason.

Cobra Commander
tag team cage matches might be one of the more nonsensical matches possible. "Escape from the cage, and hurt your team because it'll be 2 on 1!"

anarchistxx
That was Steve Austin/The Rock level pop at the height of their popularity. Daniel Bryan is the most over guy they have had in over a decade, they would be unbelievably stupid not to have him win the belt at Wrestlemania and continue the Bret Hart/Chris Benoit 'Multiple of Ten' tradition where a hardworking wrestler respected by their peers finally gets his just rewards at the big show. The Rumble is very intriguing actually, Roman Reigns got a huge pop tonight as well if they want to go in that direction, Batista is obviously back as well. Fantastic show tonight; so much more enjoyable if you record it and can spin on all the rubbish, usually takes me about 45-60 minutes to get through and I avoid Del Rio, Sandow, The Divas etc. The only thing I will question is their booking decisions. Kofi Kingston shouldn't be going over the top guy in the company, whether there is a storyline reason or not. This isn't Shelton Benjamin beating HHH in 2005 either, as it will go nowhere and Kingston will be jobbing on Superstars again next week. It was also questionable to have Big Show destroy the Real Americans. They are a very solid, fairly over team and shouldn't be slaughtered just to build Big Show up for a pointless match with Lesnar where he is getting beaten. They should have put Lesnar in with someone like Ziggler. It's a fresh match, and they could work a competitive squash with him bumping all over the place. Absolutely no reason at all for Brock/Show unless Brock himself has requested it for whatever reason. Looks like they are working towards HHH/Punk at Wrestlemania, then. Roman Reigns vs Undertaker, Brock Lesnar vs Batista, Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton and John Cena/Hulk Hogan vs Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins would round out the card, although they probably won't want to waste Cena in a tag. Maybe Daniel Bryan faces HBK, Batista faces Orton, Lesnar faces Undertaker and Cena faces Reigns? Some permutation of those matches will happen. goc
Lesnar/Ziggler is such a waste of the millions they pay Lesnar. Ziggler is done. He's finished. At least with Big Show we'll get the cool visual of Brock tossing him around.
Loss
The ending to RAW was terrific. It seems like something they pulled the trigger on a little earlier than planned because of the tepid reaction to the angle, but they made the right call if that's the case. anarchistxx
Lesnar/Ziggler is such a waste of the millions they pay Lesnar. Ziggler is done. He's finished. Ziggler was beating John Cena clean a year ago. Big Show is proof that you can rehabilitate anyone from anything. Point is, Show/Lesnar is a match that has been done multiple times before, and seems a waste of a Brock appearance. In terms of cool visuals nothing much would beat Ziggler's insane bumping for him. Log
The problem is Ziggler bumps like that for everyone. Wouldn't be special. If they're going to re-hash Lesnar feuds from 02-03, lets let him toss Zach Gowen down some stairs again.

Death From Above
Ryback does nothing but troll on Twitter so that whole thing didn't phase me much. But usually he sticks to "you're fat and a nerd and wish you had my job" kind of stuff so this recent thing was certainly a step up.
sek69
So it was confirmed Daniel Bryan suffered a concussion at some point in the cage match and doesn't even remember much of what happened. Considering WWE tends to depush people who get concussions, guess it's time for Internet Hysteria: 2 Electric Boogaloo.

Steven
So the NAO beat the Rhodes in a non-title match on Smackdown. Any reason why? They were fine appearing on occasion for things Old School Raw, but it appears they're back full time? They also appeared at the end to beat up Punk alongside the Shield.
