Now that's one with potential. Has Teddy done any shoots previously? He has a long and interesting career to cover if not. Just hope they take their time with his NWA/WCW run and don't rush to WWE as is their habit.

The only notable thing in that preview that had my interest was that he was basically Rock's sparring partner before he came back.

Looks interesting. I wonder how much credit he'll give to Sullivan for the early success of Nitro.

 

Not very much, calling him one-dimensional but giving him credit for being able to get a lot of heat for the product.

I think it's interesting to note that at the time people who were fans/defenders of Mike McG would cite "Rock must have picked him to train with for a reason!" as a point in his favour, as if Rock (along with the office and his other supporters) saw some great potential in him and wanted to work with him and impart his wisdom...whereas from that Hawkins snippet it seems as though it was actually WWE who simply picked two warm bodies who happened to be standing around.

Ah I see. That article was only put out a couple of months ago, how strange. When I referred to Rock posting on Twitter, it was at the actual time. Makes you wonder why they wouldn't go with such an article when he was rebranded in an effort to put some shine on him.

Whatever you do don't waste 4 1/2 hours on the Bischoff shoot it is everything you have heard before in other forms, he has little memory of WCW etc.

The full shoot interview which is very candid states that he and Curtis Axel were available and were considered "good hands." So the office called them to be Rock's tackling dummies no more glamourous than that.

I am pretty sure it was Rick's idea to turn heel. Pretty sure I remember him on a previous shoot talking about having to work hard to talk Vince into letting him do it since Vince only saw him as a babyface.

Excellent little interview from the great Jimmy Hart from 1996. It starts off a little slow but he eventually let's his guard down.

The Ricardo shoot interview is a figure of humour among people in NXT and the indies. The idea he would stand down The Shield is the most humorous as his general assessment of his in ring abilities. I have personal knowledge that he didn't quit teaching NXT women he was removed.

His issues with Demott and his drills more than have validity though.

And as expected, Martel's Timeline is the best in eons. Martel is just so charming and tells some funny stories. And for a 58 year old guy, he looks fantastic too. You can see he took care of himself really well.
