The NWO supply this footage to prove that they aren't responsible for the Steiners car accident everyone is talking about. Hall, Nash and Syxx stalk the Steiners at a gas station, try to run them off the road, they end up distracted and the car flips! I always hated this angle, because that's criminal behavior and I think it's stretching things to say that the Steiners would want to just settle this in the ring.

They'd probably just hired someone in Creative who was used to working in Hollywood and this was his most sensible suggestion. Ideas in wrestling need to have at least a loose connection to reality.

This seemed like it wanted to again take a memphis trope and amp it up. I will say the editing job on the footage is well produced as we get a closeup of Ricks face right before the car flips.

I agree that this probably went over the line from acceptable pro wrestling violence that can be solved in the ring to downright criminal activity. I did think Hall and Nash did a good job selling the seriousness of the situation when they saw the car flip over. Their tones immediately changed from flippant to serious as they scurried to drive away.

I thought it was really well done and produced. Found footage segment ! But yeah, it goes a little bit too far off wrestling for me too. "You drove us off the road and nearly killed us, we're going to beat you in a wrestling match." Ok, it was an accident, but it was still the Outsiders fault.

This is technically executed well but is just way too ridiculous as a wrestling angle. There were issues with the follow-up to the Gilbert-Lawler car angle but that was set up very organically and came off realistic. And AJ's question is a sound one, especially considering how quick they were to tell Syxx to shut the camera off.

This was obviously too daft, with too many plot holes even for pro-wrestling, to be anything more than dumb fun, but dumb fun it was. Production on it was clearly really well done too.
