RVD vs. ADR (Hardcore WHC)

 

This was the best RVD match since he's been back by a wide margin. This is the RVD I enjoy. He took crazy bumps, a bunch of props were used, etc. Del Rio took some lunatic bumps too including the one into the ladder. The finish was really good too.

Fun opener, del Rio ladder bump was really cool and the ending was just great. Is del Rio having a top 10 year yet?

RVD vs ADR was a stone blast. And having Sandow get a knee injury to explain why he didn't cash in was a nice bit of detail. And Cesaro rules.

That match was okay, but I hate RVD so much at this point that I really can't get into anything he does and the worst aspects of him jump out so much more. There was one spot in the corner during that match that was just fucking awful for example. I just don't like RVD's Carrot Top act

Some cool spots but not a ton of chemistry there. They really moved slow spot to spot and that corner ladder piece was terrible.

Alberto Del Rio vs. RVD

- I preferred their little stiff fest last month to the garbage match. I don't know if I agree with not giving the belt to RVD or if Alberto should pile up wins against more faces. Sorta stuck on that one right now.

This was really fun and not bad at all. The crowd loved it and the finish ruled.

That match was fine but nothing special not that it was intended to be anything more than it was. I am stoked Cesaro is getting over, but I fear he is going to be used as an almost comedic character, which would be a huge waste of a tremendous talent.

That was so great. It might just be my imagination but it seems like Cole is different now. Like you get hints that he's a fan of what he is watching. That just wasn't there before. Even if it is just my imagination it has helped my enjoyment when he's calling matches.

This was fine. It was a completely average match. R-Truth is one of the lesser guys in the company too so that doesn't help this.

- Nothing mattered except the big swing and that was enough.

 

Curtis Axel vs. R Truth

- Crowd didn't give a shit and too bad. With heat, this would have been ok. Without it, it just makes you feel like this should be the pre-game match with commercial break.

Looks like they are giving the Top 3 matches almost 2 hours. I have high hopes for the tag match!!!!

I will say this for Truth - the couple of times he's made tv in a match that got decent length this year he has worked hard. Match was nothing special, but both guys tried hard. Axel has a terrible finisher

R-Truth looked crisp - best he's looked in a while. They even gave him a little backstory for why he was going for the IC title.

 

Alas, Axel puts Truth to sleep and gets the win.
