Loss Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 I'd like to see Michael Parks take on Vince McMahon, just to see if he could pull it off. I have a feeling that he could. The guy is an amazing character actor. Quote
El-P Posted October 25, 2013 Report Posted October 25, 2013 No one except Tom Cruise can be Eric Bischoff. That's just perfect. Quote
C.S. Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 No one except Tom Cruise can be Eric Bischoff. I can see Tom being way out of the price range and having to settle for Ted McGinley. I actually prefer this to Cruise. McGinley would perfectly capture the fake, plastic, game show vibe of "Easy E." Quote

Boondocks Kernoodle Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 The guy who played Maurice Levy on The Wire should play Heyman. Quote
Loss Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Sorry, thought I got them all. There was a post like that in the most recent thread in every single folder on the forum. Spam account that somehow got through. Quote
BrickHithouse Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Good. I was having trouble identifying the actor! Quote
Guest Nell Santucci Posted October 30, 2013 Report Posted October 30, 2013 Billy Bob Thorton plays Kane. Quote
JerryvonKramer Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 I like Billy Bob Thornton for Billy Gunn. Quote
BrickHithouse Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 John Candy for Gorilla Monsoon. Of course to get Candy for the role you'd need a shovel. Quote
marrklarr Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 John Candy for Gorilla Monsoon. Of course to get Candy for the role you'd need a shovel. I was hoping Gorilla Monsoon would be played by an actual gorilla. Quote
Death From Above Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 Having seen Bad Santa, I'm 99% sure Billy Bob Thornton has to play The Sandman. Quote
El-P Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Having seen Bad Santa, I'm 99% sure Billy Bob Thornton has to play The Sandman. That's glorious. I believe Dwayne Johnson would be perfect to play The Rock. Quote
marrklarr Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 I believe Dwayne Johnson would be perfect to play The Rock. They do kinda look alike. Quote
brocklock Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Woody Harrelson would be a perfect Stone Cold Steve Austin as long as you replace beer with hemp. Quote
flyonthewall2983 Posted November 5, 2013 Author Report Posted November 5, 2013 He played a boxer in a movie in the late 90's with bald head and goatee, and was a complete dead ringer for Austin. Quote
topropepodcast Posted November 9, 2013 Report Posted November 9, 2013 I'll first off state that it's a wrestler that would be pointless to cast, but I'm constantly struck at how much Michael Bennett looks like Aaron Paul since he cut his hair. Quote
flyonthewall2983 Posted November 12, 2013 Author Report Posted November 12, 2013 It would be in no way possible because of the size differences, but Clancy Brown (bad guy in Highlander, prison guard in The Shawshank Redemption) is a dead ringer for Andre. It's funny that someone brought up Pacino as Flair. It probably could have worked 20 years ago, even physically. I've been watching Heat on Cinemax lately (even though I've triple-dipped it on HV releases, I still catch it on TV when I can) and he had to have been in excellent shape during the shootout and especially the run he makes at the end in LAX where you see it's all him and not a double. Guest The Jiz Posted February 24, 2014 Report Posted February 24, 2014 That IAB head, Lt. Ed Tucker, from Law and Order SVU reminds me of that cocksucker Johnny Ace - sounds just like him and probably equally petty. http://lawandorder.wikia.com/wiki/Ed_Tucker Quote
ohtani's jacket Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 Philip Seymour Hoffman would have made a good Buddy Rose. Quote
flyonthewall2983 Posted March 4, 2014 Author Report Posted March 4, 2014 Philip Seymour Hoffman would have made a good Buddy Rose. I suggested in a Vince thread he would have made a good Pat Patterson. It essentially would have been a similar role to the one he played in Moneyball, but a bit more syncophantic. Quote
flyonthewall2983 Posted March 29, 2014 Author Report Posted March 29, 2014 PSH actually would have made a great Bobby Heenan, too. Quote
Bierschwale Posted March 30, 2014 Report Posted March 30, 2014 Philip Seymour Hoffman would have made a good Buddy Rose. I suggested in a Vince thread he would have made a good Pat Patterson. It essentially would have been a similar role to the one he played in Moneyball, but a bit more syncophantic. So Art Howe in Moneyball + Brandt in The Big Lebowski. Quote
flyonthewall2983 Posted November 24, 2014 Author Report Posted November 24, 2014 The Flair-Pacino connection brings to mind a missed opportunity when WWE did all those Hollywood sendups leading up to WrestleMania 21. Their version of Glengarry Glen Ross with the Nature Boy as either Ricky Roma or Shelley Levene and Eric Bischoff as either the Alec Baldwin or Kevin Spacey character. I'd prefer Bischoff to the latter just to see Ric call him a see you next Tuesday over and over again. Quote
