PWInsider reports that in addition to the “ECW Exposed” special, the following will be added to the Vault section on the WWE Network next week:

* Forty new episodes of ECW Hardcore TV

* Hardcore Heaven 1995

* November to Remember 1995

* Cyberslam 1996

About bloody time.

I'd like to see them put out some more of those non-PPV events. Always thought those were really unique.

Not complaining but more curious, are they gonna fill in the gaps in the 93 and 94 Hardcore TV? By the time I got WWE 24/7-Classics on Demand, they were into 1995, so I don't know if the missing eps ever aired on that channel.

Pretty sure they were not. In fact, they filled in some gaps in late 94 and early 95 that had never aired on 24/7.

Thanks for the info. Wonder if it's a situation where WWE doesn't have the tapes.

As well as thew new content the Apple TV interface now has got a watchlist (I can add single episodes to a watchlist and they appear on the main page but when I add a "series" it doesn't seem to do anything) and watched episode checks.

About time! Hope this is a universal upgrade across all apps and platforms.

By the way... this doesn't seem to be a PLAYLIST where I can add episodes or segments and save it or whatever (nevermind share it with other people!!!). Just a way to flag stuff that you want to watch so it shows up in your front page.

But... hey it's a start.

It's hilarious to consider if the network had all the content available that was on 24/7 at one point or another it would eliminate nearly all the complaints people have.

It's also kind of odd that they still think that trickling down Raws from 1995 and some from 2000 will keep people glued in month after month, and how still some people defend that "you can't give everybody everything at once or they'll lose interest".

Let's see. Unless I am missing something here's the overview of the stuff that was shown on 24/7 but not on the Network:

- A couple dozen AWA TV shows and about a dozen 80s PPV/Supershows/Okerlund PPV's.

- The Best of WWF Coliseum Videos and 50+ more Coliseum video releases from the 90s and 80s.

- Another couple dozen Florida TV shows.

- About 100 "Hall of Fame" Best Of compilation shows.

- All ECW TV up to 1998

- RAW up to mid 1999

- Mid Atlantic 1981 and 1982 (not complete)

- Nitro up to 1998

- Close to 150 episodes of NWA World Championship Wrestling 85-88

- The complete(?) Tuesday Night Titans run

- 150+ episodes of Primetime Wrestling

- 50+ World Class TV episodes and Supershows

- A couple hundred "Old School" WWF House Shows from the 70s and 80s

- Some Stampede Wrestling and Georgia episodes and a few odds and ends (WCW's NJPW/AAA PPVs, a few scattered WCW B shows, Solie Film Room, custom specials, compilations, 00's commercial tapes, WWWF 70s TV, etc.)

That's probably more wrestling than most people would want to watch during their lifetime AND still leaves them with enough "prime" content (Raw, Nitro, Thunder, ECW TV) so you don't blow your load in one go.

I think trickling is actually the right approach with the old content. Unfortunately they don;t seem to be doing that, rather they dump large chunks of it at once so that people can forget about it right away. They need to be releasing this old content in chronological order and at a nice clip where they are slowly populating the Network with content.

I agree with this completely. Make checking into the network a daily or weekly thing. When the network 1st launched I was excited about what new houseshow or episode of whatever was being added. I have no problem with a big data dump, but I need follow up. Give me 20 episodes of WCCW, the following week add another one.

Don't get me wrong - I agree too. A dump of 100 MSG shows from the 70s and early 80s doesn't really do all that much unless you are a big Strongbow fan.

But they don't have the right approach or are using the right content (Raw from 1995? Really?).

If they took five 80s shows (take any, really) and four 90s/00's shows (Raw, Nitro, ECW and Smackdown) and uploaded 2-3 episodes a week EVERY WEEK (key point there) they'd shut up 90% of the people that are complaining about content.

The every week is the key.

The problem isn't how they did it. It's that they've largely stopped releasing ANYTHING new. Hopefully ECW Week is the sign of a change.

I think the dumps approach is a problem though. It's a terrible way of releasing content as none of it seems special or different, or something that you need to anticipate coming,

In what's likely not a coincidence, none of the new ECW uploads (other than the Heyman interview) are scheduled for the live stream.

Explains why Styles kept repeating "video on demand" like a mantra during the ECW Exposed special. In those bits, he appeared to be a huge Network shill - or at least a parody of one (which may have been the point).

Speaking of which, was anyone else disappointed by Exposed? It had some fun banter between Heyman and Styles, but most of it seemed forced. It was also too much of a clip show for people who knew nothing about ECW. I'm not sure longtime fans would've learned anything new.

I liked that they made fun of WWE in various "subtle" ways - particularly the "comedy." The thing is, ECW's comedy - when taken out of context and shown in clip form, as it was here - didn't come across as funny either.

Some of the omissions were surprising too - no big segments dedicated to RVD, Raven, Dreamer, etc. Granted, they didn't have much time, but still.

Also, did anyone else notice that the Dudley fact was shown twice, and was the only fact used? I was expecting Styles and Heyman to go off when it appeared the second time, but I am guessing they had no idea.
