Tamura gets completely John Cena'd here, totally squashed by Tariel because he lost the shoot to Overeem the month before. It's unfortunate - and weird - when the best wrestler in the world is being treated like this because he lost a shoot.

Especially since Tariel is terrible. Not a good worker, not a good shooter, has no charisma, has a terrible look... I can't figure out how he was even employed, let alone getting wins over Tamura. When I first saw this, I assumed it was a shoot because I couldn't believe anyone would book something this dumb.

They had a really good match the previous year, however, and not entirely because of Tamura.

Tariel is one of the worst, most embarrasing worker I've ever seen this side of Tiger Jeet Singh, the Harris Brothers and Crusher Maedomari.

The walk-ins and national anthems lasted about three times as long as the match. Hard to see how this was the best thing for the promotion, Overeem match or no Overeem match.

Really perplexing that they felt forced to make this move. The scene was dramatic for the change. (*)

That was a hell of a lot of build-up for...that. At least Cena and the guys Vader bulldozed got some hope spots in. Tariel doesn't seem THAT bad to me but he's no Tamura, that's for sure.
