On this week’s episode, Steven Graham is joined by Dylan Hales (Wrestling Culture) and Jason Mann (Wrestlespective Radio) to focus the Wrestler Snapshot #6 on “Gentleman” Chris Adams. We also answer the listener question of the week and give our recommendations. A very fun episode this week.

I'm a big Adams fan from when I started watching wrestling . Such an innovative worker. One of the 1st American star to do a tope' . From what I've heard so far I will agree with what Dylan said about being close to being on the Von Erich overness. I'll say Michael Hayes as a face was on the Von Erich level. He just wan't a face much. Also Ice Man Parsons was pretty close too, but a tad below Adams on the pecking order.

Steven needs to turn his mic up and everyone else down ... he can do this by taking Skype off autotuning and manually putting himself up and everyone else down. I record with me almost full and everyone else on half. It's a strange quirk that the person recording comes through quieter.

Even though I don't really like Chris Adams, I listened to this whole show and enjoyed it. I think Grimmas has done a really good job of keeping this "Super Show" up every week while keeping it varied and interesting and somehow not overlapping too much with all of the shows his guests come from.

Yeah. This was another good one, but I hope to see the show return to form with more variety again soon. The Wrestler Snapshots are great and a neat concept in general, but I still dig the different stuff as well.

Judo rules are... weird. I read over some of them, I guess? And yeah. I still don't know what strikes are technically legal or illegal, if any at all. But "deliberately" defensive stances are banned. You're penalized for "purposely" evading certain things. Just strange. Never really put much thought into it before, but I can see why the strict practice of judo itself isn't more popularized.

Best part of this episode though? Had to be Dylan calling the porno play-by-play in a British accent. I mean, come on. What tops THAT?

Thanks for the comments and I will adjust that for future episodes. Unfortunately I already recorded this week's episode, so it will take some time.

Next week we start to go into the Extreme Vault and review the ECW ppvs in order. Next week after that will be a top 6 episode, so hopefully that keeps things spiced up.

Actually, I am considering going into a rotation of

Week 1: Extreme Vault (ECW PPV reviews)

Week 2: Wrestler Snapshot

Week 3: Top 6

Week 4: Whatever we feel like that week

Yeah. Whatever works. Rotating themes are cool, but I wouldn't stick too strictly to any specific format. I mean, sure. I dig the variety we're getting so far. But if you can line up a good panel or guests that want to discuss a certain something - by all means, roll with it.

At the end of the day, I'm just a major mark for lists. So the more Top 6 we get, the better. :D

See, I'm generally the opposite. I love to hear in-depth discussion like this about an individual wrestler, or the Clash (in theory). I don't mind lists, but I love hearing in greater detail about things - especially ones that I am not totally well-versed in.

Yeah, and I certainly see the appeal in BOTH to be honest. That's why I prefer the series of rotating themes over a string of Snapshots or a string of lists. But they're all good, and the guests thus far have made for excellent discussion anyhow. The format itself is neat, with the Listener Question & Recommendations always tacked on at the end as well.

If I had any real request, it'd be that we get some non-stateside talent featured in the Snapshot sometime soon. LA Park, Wagner Jr., or (heck) even Konnan from Mexico. Misawa, Kobashi, Tenryu, or even Liger from Japan. Stuff like that could be ideal info for fans that are unfamiliar with those guys AND equally neat for listeners that already are.

Enjoyed this show guys. On the all the faces at the hair tag match it does make sense. The build for the match had Adams and Gino snip all the baby faces in the territory's hair . So they were all there for their revenge and cut their hair too.

Got to this one this morning and enjoyed it. I think after hearing Dylan for about 12 hours of audio in the past week, I will be hearing his voice in my dreams. Adams was an excellent choice for the snapshot for the sprawling nature of his career and his under the radar attributes. All 3 of you guys did a good job getting over the strengths/weaknesses of Adams as a worker throughout this snapshot of matches.

this podcast enticed me to go back & re-watch his wcw matches & although he was a mere portion of the guy he was in his earlier days & he didnt get a push in wcw his quality of matches were still pretty good overall, while he was used as nothing more than a jobber on Thunder & Nitro he did get a nice mini push on Saturday Night, Worldwide, & Pro, this guy is one of my all time favorites, I watched the Gentlemans Choice Chris Adams story this weekend as well & thought it was great, Id love to see a show like this for Gino Hernandez!
