Come on guys, let's all get along. i know everyone's on edge because of the Rodz pick. :D

In all seriousness, I didn't draft Rodz, I drafted Super Medico 2 (who happens to be Rodz under the hood).

I actually think Johnny Rodz probably meant more to the MSG crowd in 1983 than Billy Robinson did. And that's just as Rodz. Medico 2 would be way more over with the PR crowd in 83 than guys like Ole and Robinson would be with the MSG crowd in 83.

And I say that as a huge Robinson fan.

What do you guys think about my roster??

Perfect for Mid South.

Yea right now as far as "perfect fits" I would say Mid-South & Southeastern are the closest to what an actual roster would look like. Georgia too actually.

This is a territory where Buddy f'n Rose, the most incendiary guy imaginable, didn't draw. Why didn't he draw? Because he had too good matches with jobbers. Watching a good match on TV bewildered the NYC crowd and they didn't think he was a threat. He worked TOO hard.

I'd love thoughts on my draft so far, since I basically know nothing about Central States, I just chose people that I knew could fit spots, and that should be able to get over any where. You guys have me scared >_>

In the space of a couple of weeks Sgt. Slaughter was more over in MSG than Rodz ever was. That crowd were used to new guys coming in and out all the time. He also worked very hard.

Rodz was a good hand who did a good job though and will be hard to replace for what he did.

If you had filled your roster with Central States regulars, you'd be screwed. So it's not quite fair to judge you, WWA or All Star in Vancouver by the same metrics.

I filled my roster with people I thought would make interesting matchups with Flair as a starter, but covering a wide variety of styles. Personally, I'd love to watch a show in 1983 filled with my roster so far.

Dude, if it was just a case of picking guys who were already over in the territory, there is literally no point in the draft, so I wouldn't worry. I've picked guys based on what they can bring. Booking gets people over, the talent helps. What does it matter that Bock didn't work Kansas? He would have gotten over there without doubt.

Not everyone is equally likely to get over in all territories though is what some of this discussion is about. But I won't keep digging.

I have tried to pick guys that fit the character of Portland. I see Barry as a better version of Hennig, Dundee as a better version of Dynamite, Embry as a better version of Rip Oliver, et. Stevens and Paterson were choices made with a bigger picture in mind.

I'm not your favorite person but I am still willing to work out a Mando deal some kinda way although I don't have anyone that fits Portland. Maybe a pair of draft picks?

Buddy drew just fine at MSG.

I pushed for you to be in this game, just remember that.

Southwest Championship Wrestling would like to extend it's hand in friendship towards the WWF and call an end to the tensions of these past few days. Joe Blanchard has been convinced now that the rumors of an impending wrestling war are not credible.

I can help you with that in PMs if you want? I went through an extensive search of the white bread young babyfaces of 1983 that I wanted to turn heel until I realized Eddie Gilbert could still fit at this point in his career.

I'm not looking for anyone in that category for myself now.

Rotundo and Brad Armstrong going the last few hours have me totally boned. I'm not sure anybody else in my top 20 are going to fit in the same role.

Just don't take Mosca, Jr. He's the shits.
