Matt D Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 He's still surprisingly explosive at times. Just saying. Quote
WingedEagle Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Liking this match a whole lot more than I expected. No putzing around, just some hateful spots and use of weapons. Would like some falls to get over the LMS stip, but that's minor quibbling. Let's see where they take it. Quote
FMKK Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 First time posting on the board but I'm just considering how well tonight's potential booking fits into the Reigns Political Hit theory. Roman gets booed to the high heavens tonight, HHH comes out to win the title and is cheered to the rafters in Orlando of all places so he can fully become the smark saviour before going on to 'save' Wrestlemania by being in the main event, covering for all in injuries and putting Roman over, thus getting credit as the man who 'makes' him at main event level. I know I shouldn't be surprised that HHH is going to be the one who comes out of the next three months looking better than everyone, but this really would take the cake if it turns out that way. Death From Above Posted January 25, 2016 Author Report Posted January 25, 2016 WHAT WAS THAT I mean other than awesome Quote
Matt D Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 On the one hand, I kind of buy that he used the broken table to get back up. On the other hand, this is still going on one Kevin Owens finisher later. Quote
WingedEagle Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 YEAH! This is how you run a gimmicky spotfest!! Quote
Infinit Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 That was pretty freakin awesome. Quote
WingedEagle Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 That was awesome. Love that those tables came into play and weren't just a tease. Props for the conclusive finish as well. Quote
cpst Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 They even had Chekhov's tables play a part in the actual finish. Quote
Death From Above Posted January 25, 2016 Author Report Posted January 25, 2016 Goes without saying the old FMW fan in me enjoyed that. Quote
Edwin Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 That match was very good. I really dug KO rolling out of the ring to get on his feet to break up the count. Something very simple, yet very creative and original. The finish was somewhat predictable. Once the tables got stacked up early in the match, you knew a spot there was going to conclude the match and once KO climbed up to the top, you knew Ambrose was going to get that spot, but it didn't really drag down the quality of that match one bit. RCS1988 Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Big E with his Curtis Iaukea impression. FEEL THE POWER. Quote
Death From Above Posted January 25, 2016 Author Report Posted January 25, 2016 I love these idiots. Quote
Jimmy Redman Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 OK I popped huge for the Xavier Woods Goldeneye line. Quote
Stiva Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 I hope The New Day never ever split up, what a great unit. I'd have marked huge if Xavier came out with a saxophone instead. Quote
Parties Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Corny punk Conor McGregor can fall down a well. Xavier Woods for "Best on Interviews", 2016. And we're already approaching Kanye levels of men in neon pink. Good show thus far. Quote
PhilTLL Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Yew tell me how yuh can TEACH guys to do front flips through taybuls, Maggle! Speaking of JBL, what team is he talking about when he says Ole originated the Freebird rule? Quote
WingedEagle Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Apparently on an island here but New Day's ship has sailed. Not only did they not clear the shark on first jump, they fell into its jaws and were spit out on the other side. Quote
Death From Above Posted January 25, 2016 Author Report Posted January 25, 2016 Wait, how long has been thrown into the crowd been referred to as "thrown into the WWE Universe"? Quote
Blehschmidt Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 You have to say WWE Universe as much as possible, because....buzz words. Quote
hammerva Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 I have no idea who is going to actually take the titles from the New Day and that is probably a good thing given how popular and damn good they are Quote
jcmmnx Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Enjoyed the opener, and found the tag title match to be pretty rough. Usos do nothing for me. Quote
Matt D Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 I'd like to see Swagger/Henry vs New Day next month. Quote
Parties Posted January 25, 2016 Report Posted January 25, 2016 Pity the Usos for being made the accidental heels in this feud. Big E was awesome throughout this match, but that tackle rope from the ring to the floor remains one of the craziest moves going. They have to know how lame it is that Roman is entering at #1, right? Like, they must understand how excessive that is. And yeah, I had the same thought about Henry/Swagger as good New Day opponents. They're credible enough to be heels or faces, esp. if this is the Henry retirement tour. Quote
