Best squash match workers?

I had a search and couldn't find a topic like this already, but if I missed it, I'm sorry.

Who are you favourite squash match workers? Doing the 1986 project has allowed me to see more squashes than I have in years, and Don Muraco is a guy who stands out. He had an offense that was diverse and interesting for the time, and just beasted jobbers. Ron Garvin is another one who just blasted through jobbers in an interesting way.

Both Midnight and Rock and Roll Express wrestled interesting squashes - the Rock and Rolls especially, as the layout of their squash matches varied from match to match.

Manny Fernandez and Ron Garvin are my favourites from mid 80s Crockett.

If I was a jobber my favourite would probably be Ivan Koloff. He always seemed to give them a lot of ring time.

And of course early 90s WCW Sid when he'd destroy jobbers with the same style of moves that I'd "invent" while playing with Hasbro toys and then wonder why nobody in wrestling is using them.

Arn and Ole circa late 85 / early 86. Just awesome to see them destroy some jobber's leg. Ole likes to come off the top with a knee.

How you been finding them liam?

I've not seen them together, as Ole is injured. Arn is great, but I mostly enjoyed Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard vs Don Kernoodle and Italian Stallion from my most recent post - just a really good little tag match which had Arn and Tully give a lot to the face team, before heeling it up enough to defeat them. Not a squash, but real good fun.

The Ivan Koloff comment is a good shout, as he always gives his jobbers some offense and time to shine.

I'll second Sid. Him putting people on stretchers will never get old.

Also gotta name-drop Goldberg. He pretty much got over by just squashing people. Up until that Steven Regal match, did any of his matches even go five minutes? You can look like a million bucks when you get to squash everyone, even if you're not a very good worker, and the whole match is just you getting your shit in. They protected the hell out of Goldberg, but it worked. In an era where due to the Monday Night Wars, there weren't any real jobbers anymore too. I don't think anyone would deny Goldberg's intensity either. I don't know how half of those people eating some of those Spears weren't legitimately injured. He was going THROUGH people. So sick.

Steiners were definitely one of my favorites. You just never knew what crazy shit they would bust out. The Great Muta became my favorite wrestler in 1989 just based off his squash matches. Just the way he moved around the ring and the explosiveness he had made him look like the best athlete on the planet. The S.S.T was also pretty awesome around that time.

There's a WWF squash from around 87 even more brutal with Ware than this. I would legit have refused to go up for the ghostbuster if I were that jobber.

I'm curious. Do you have a link?

I was watching the Memphis squash before seeing your comment and I thought exactly the same. The clothesline on that squash is brutal.

Speaking of brutal squash matches, there's the Moondogs USWA run...
