The only problem with Pivotshare is that it seems very prone to freezing for a lot of people. I've experienced it plenty and its a common complaint amongst other fans too. Of course, it could be any number of factors to do with the individuals internet service or computer or other such environmental factors, but yeah, its a thing.

I actually love the ease of use etc and the presentation, I just hate the fact it will often freeze several times during a show, really takes me out of it.

I haven't tried it on a computer, so that could definitely be an issue. I am just speaking from the perspective of someone who wants to have the Roku option.

Yeah, in fairness I'm largely ignorant of stuff like Roku so it may well work fine through that.

I don't know whether its just me and my particular circle of friends but I don't know anyone who uses anything like Roku or its equivalents. The vast majority of people seem to favour laptop's and just hooking up to a TV via an HDMI to watch stuff so if its freezing on your laptop, you're fucked.

I prefer Roku, b/c I am lazy. Hooking up laptop takes a big, plus then you can't use your laptop while watching.

I just subscribed to the Highspots Roku channel (you can also watch on pc thru pivotshare) a few days ago and it's very nice. Well over a hundred shows (czw and pwg mostly though there are a few indies and ecw fancams) and over 100 shoot interviews. Haven't had a single instance of buffering or any other problems.

Yeah, it is pretty great. I think there were 112 PWG videos when I signed up and last I checked, there were 145, so they are adding stuff, too.

Just read that Lucha Underground might get some sort of deal with Hulu.

If that's the case, I think I'll be one step closer to cutting the cable cord. I already have Netflix, Amazon Prime, WWE Network, and HBO GO through my cable, but I think it'd be cheaper for me at this point to cut cable entirely, get Hulu and then see how much HBO NOW goes for.

HBO NOW is $14.99

Every promotion should go through that Pivotshare company that has done several of these already. I am hoping for a PWG service with every show. ROH would really benefit going that route, too. I know I am not the only person that is very hung up on there being a set top box app/channel for services they subscribe to.

Pivotshare is great because they seem to automatically make a Roku channel for the services and those work very well but the player is absolute rubbish on browser so it's a double edged sword, similarly YouTube is great on browser but the player controls suck on Roku actually Vemo is actually the best on both Roku and browser with the best system of linking your acct across platforms unfortunately they seem to only offer a VOD model with no subscription option as of yet. So in closing I agree with your point it's just no one has perfected it yet.

I've found YouTube is usable on Roku if you pair it with your phone and tablet and just find what you need there and cast it to the Roku channel.

It's functional but slow. If you pair and cast, you can line things up in a queue.

I also want to throw out Plex here. Plex lets you create a small server on your laptop and then watch files on your TV. That's how I watch all the wrestling I've downloaded. Someone also made an RoH channel for Plex that pulls the TV off their website and let's you watch it on TV.

Plex is pretty good, it's how I watch the LU I download. Didn't know there was a ROH channel. That's makes me 10% more likely to watch their TV.

I could never get plex to work and it kept asking me to sign up for a paid acct so I gave up.

The problem for me on Roku Youtube isn't the search but the actual player controls, it's impossible to ff or rewind and a lot of times if you try to skip ahead too much it will just crash. It's fine for must videos on Youtube because they tend to be under a hour but Beyond has shows that go over 4 hours they have started to break the shows into to parts obviously to help with this issue but still at 2 to 3 hour long videos it will crash if you are trying to skip to the mainevent.

One thing I do with that is I'll go to my computer and pause it and where I need it to be and the Roku will pick up where it's at.
