Kronos
I'm the same. I wasn't into Conrad from the Flair show and thought he was a dick honestly. I've come around on him. I've said it before, hearing Prichard's perspective on things (not saying there isn't bullshiting) outweighs any negatives Conrad brings to the show. In the end, I agree, and that's why I keep listening. I love the eras they're discussing. I am learning stuff. And sometimes they make me laugh. I'll put up with some annoyance now and then, as long as I have this thread to vent into. <_> I am part way into the Sunny episode. I had half-considered buying her book. But the passages Conrad is reading aloud have put me right off of the purchase.
The Russian Daydream
Conrad's in the mortgage/ financial service business for his shoot job anyway so I'd expect he's more interested than most about how much guys were making. I really don't mind him at all.
Beast
Conrad has say he legit puts in 4-5 hours each week of research for each topic. I think his questions are solid and his followups show a general understanding of everything. I think he's a fantastic non-wrestler host and enjoy when he calls out obvious BS from Bruce. And he has great chemistry with Tony Schiavone.
WingedEagle
Just to add another perspective -- Conrad undoubtedly inquires about pay and money, and perhaps brings it up in some regard every week, but its hardly something he's harping on for the entire show. The point is raised, there's a back & forth and then its on with the topic.

flyonthewall2983
What else I really appreciate is something that kind of underlines this week's episode. Sometimes they do a few takes on a show if the first one wasn't good enough. Other than the Carlos Mencia incidents on Marc Maron's podcast, I haven't heard of that being done before (though that was for completely different reasons). blueminister
The problem with "how much did _____ get paid?" is that Prichard has a pretty big ethical responsibility to not discuss salaries of a company he's worked for. This responsibility even extends to confirming amounts batted around in the Observer. Conrad, being in business himself, should know this. flyonthewall2983
If I never hear his Cornette impression again, it will be too soon.
blueminister
For a guy who nails Dusty better than anyone its weird that his impression of Jim Cornette seems to be "dying muppet."
flyonthewall2983
His Dusty is immaculate. His Vince is good, not exact but he gets the energy down. His Patterson sounds Italian rather than Quebecois. He gets the energy right on others, even if the voice isn't exact. His Johnny Ace on the Piper show was hilarious. BigBadMick
The recent Love To Know episode is a hard listen. Lots of absolutely terrible chicken salad/box of gimmicks etc questions. And Conrad gets to be more of an asshole. They're catering to their audience, I suppose. But their audience is terrible.
flyonthewall2983
Yeah, there was nothing particularly insightful about that one. But the leading topic in this week's Twitter poll is about the In Your House show where the power went out.
Cox
Honestly, I'm surprised Conrad didn't bring up Mantaur just so he can do his whole "was that a rib?" schtick. Unlike a lot of the times where Conrad has done the rib schtick, this actually did kinda feel like a rib, since you have ultra serious Jim Cornette, who hates gimmickry in his wrestling, managing a dude wearing a giant buffalo head, and since this was supposed to be about Cornette in the WWF, when else would they bring that up. Shrike02
Gave this another chance with the episode on Owen, but this was clearly a mistake. 2+ hours of boredom followed by a big annoying "no we're not going to talk about his death, so there" to the audience. What a waste of time.
flyonthewall2983
I didn't even make it that far in the Owen episode. I knew he wouldn't bring up the death, plus his voice sounded too sick for me. I don't blame him for not talking about it, but at least doing a tribute to him is fine instead. BigBadMick
The show is close to unlistenable for me now. The judgment day episode consisted of endless ads and tiresome impressions. Conrad's really running this into the ground.
Ricky Jackson
I agree. The show devolved into self parody in record time. Also all the subjects winning the Twitter polls don't really interest me
jpchicago23
The same people comment each week that they hate the show and it's a hard listen. It's a given at this point.

The Russian Daydream
I enjoy the show and find Conrad and Bruce both quite likeable. I'm not sure what that says about me.

Must love punishment I wish there was simple adware free place where all of the newsworthy/interesting bits from Prichard/Tony/Jericho/Ross/Bischoff/etc.'s podcasts could just posted quickly by someone in quick list form. I don't have hours and hours to listen to this stuff but I'd be curious if we learned something new about a production meeting Bischoff had with Tony about Glacier or something (I don't know). I could absolutely see people try to listen to something like Bruce's show for new information and not necessarily entertainment.
