I have never been high on Rene's commentary. She neither adds nor takes away from the product, so I guess that is better than nothing. With Rene at the booth, WWE will finally be rid of the insulting POC trope that has plagued the three man announce both for a considerable amount of time. I assume the 'new assignment' for Coach was part of his original WWE contract. "Voice of Raw" until outside commitments begin to interfere/bad commentary performance. It looks like both have happened and Coach will probably be on the PPV panel for another 6 months to a year before being gone again. Coach brings nothing to the table as an analysis and honestly works better as a character. I cannot think of one memorable Coach call, but I can think of a lot of good Coach comedy segments. There are a lot of guys in NXT and 205 live that need to get over. Coach should be sent 'down' (over?) there and use what little magic is left in his old top hat.

Coach needs to be as far away as possible. His brand of smugness combined with acting like he was still hosting SportsCenter, all while getting clowned by Graves and Cole for being a dipshit was getting very old.

At least right now on the pre-show panels he can get dunked on by Booker T and it is going to be great.

Also he can maybe get back to the backstage interviewer role which is where he had his best moments. A win-win to me.

Coach as the roving, on-the-spot interviewer who finds himself out of his element & in uncomfortable situations could be good. He's at his best when he's open to being humiliated.

Is he too self-serious for that stuff now? 'Cause if not, it's probably the only thing he's good for at this point.

Basically she could have a great match with just about anyone in the Women's division today. The fact that she throws the meanest clotheslines and elbow strikes is just the cherry on the cake of greatness.

It's been a rather forgettable episode of Raw tonight but I always get a laugh at Braun wandering around backstage, yelling and throwing things. And it was impressive when he nailed some guy with a water bottle pretty far down the hall.

Lio Rush being Lashley's manager is a genius move. It would rock if they were a tag team, too. Lio rocks and I like Lashley. Power/speed dynamics are usually great.

Foley switching to the serious Cactus voice is my favorite thing in wrestling. It was always so underrated how each of his characters had a completely different promo style.

Something oddly fascinating about a broken down Jeff Hardy being the one to get the most out of a broken down Nakamura regularly.

Sometimes I get the feeling that Jeff Hardy is the modern day Jake Roberts in the sense that he seems to be really smart when he's not completely fucked up. Nakamura seems to be a guy who's more checked out mentally than broken down physically, so Jeff coming up with something to keep him interested makes sense.

I named the Punjabi match because it was also hard to watch what was going on in the ring with the hard camera shot, one would guess they wouldn't try to do that again.
