Coffey
Why are they calling The Big Show "The Giant" again? Also, what are WWE trying to insinuate by constantly saying Serena is "not like any Diva WWE has ever had before!" Is that just cause she's bald? I guess it won't matter now! I hardly ever get to see Smackdown but I saw it this last week so I'm a little behind!
Tim Evans
I'm thinking it has to do with Big Show's new movie. Not sure though.

El-P
So, Luna has died... From F4W This is really sad her last days must have been so stressful and bleak. RIP Fuck ! Not Luna ! I loved the girl the first time I saw her, which was in 93 at WM 9. Great character, good little worker for the US. Man, it's depressing... Repose en paix Luna.... rovert
Anton Geesink Dead http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y...=auto&tl=en Can I be terriblly trite and talk about death coming in threes? What a terrible day for Matt Bourne with the death of his father and Luna.
Cox
In wrestling, deaths don't come in threes, they come in sixes.
Dan
Is it me, or does it seem like there's always death related adverts up on wwe.com when a death is announced:
sek69
That's just an unfortunate consequence of having your ad system pull keywords from the content, so if you put up an obit you're likely to get ads that reflect death/dying somehow. Also this: World Wrestling Entertainment has been made aware of the passing of Gertrude (Luna) Vachon. WWE extends its deepest condolences to the Vachon family. Ms. Vachon was under contract with WWE at various times from 1993 through 2000, and performed under the name “Luna” Vachon. She last performed for WWE in early 2000. Jesus Christ, they even distance themselves from people who worked for them a decade ago.
Dan
That doesn't seem too bad to me. "She last worked for us on..." is better than "We released him on..." Also, there's a link to her Alumni page. So it's not as if they're pretending she never existed. Of course, that link might come down pending the cause of death. rovert
Just saw the Luna and Sherri brawl after Wrestlemania linked to Missy Hyatt's story about her on the F4W site. Must saw rather racy and out of left field for the time.
El-P
Missy's article on Luna is quite good. It's so sad she was never used to her full talent in the WWF, they never even gave her a cup of coffee with the belt while she made Sable look like a million bucks. She deserved better. sek69
Interesting that Alex Kozlov working a taped Smackdown show as jobber Carlos Sanchez made it past everyone's radar until after the show aired. I thought he looked familiar (and how odd it was that they'd give an entrance to a jobber), but I figured if it was someone known it would have been mentioned in the spoiler reports. Bob Morris
Just saw the Luna and Sherri brawl after Wrestlemania linked to Missy Hyatt's story about her on the F4W site. Must saw rather racy and out of left field for the time. It was also the perfect example of what a "catfight" is supposed to be like... not just simply "grab each other and pretend to shake each other around" but actually make it look like you are FIGHTING. And yes, it was definitely quite racy for WWF's standards at the time... but it certainly helped sell the feud. It's just too bad Sherri left prior to the feud being fully resolved. Strummer
Sherri looked great in early 1993 (with a noticeably bigger chest which makes me wonder if she had work done while selling the mirror angle) That catfight and entire segment was awesome. I couldn't believe the WWE would air something like that at that time with Sherri basically falling out of her top Sherri failed a drug test before the feud could even get going though
sek69
I was watching the post WarGames NWA TV on demand, and I used to think J.J. Dillon's shoulder injury in that match was a work until I saw the slo-mo replay on this show. No one involved looked comfortable: Animal looked awkward coming off the top rope (Hawk usually did that part), Paul Ellering looked awkward trying to lift J.J. in a way that didn't bash his head off the cage roof, and Dillon himself took the bump awkward. It was amazing he didn't end up breaking his neck landing the way he did. I know they wanted it to be 5 on 5, but he really had no place in that match. At least Ellering still looked like a wrestler and wasn't too out of place (except for those tie dyed tights that looked like he stole Billy Graham's gear), but J.J. looked like someone's dad getting his ass kicked. Tatanka & Sherri vs Bam Bam & Luna would have made for some great little mixed matches. It just occured to me, but all my favourite female valets are dead. Liz, Sherri, Woman, Luna. It's depressing enough to rewatch old stuff from my teen yeras and think about all the workers that died before they reach 45, but now I can add all the women too. rovert
Saw this on Wrestling Classics and had to post it here the one and only Hade Vansen vignette: Possibly the single strangest abortive push in WWE history they were going to programme him with the Undertaker but then realised he was too short shortly after this airing. Actually Hirohito might be my #1 come to think of it. Jeepers more death: Joseph Carl “JC†Bailey Jr. 8/23/1983 – 8/30/2010 It is with great sadness that CZW management has the unfortunate duty to again report on the news of the passing of another one of its own. Early this morning, CZW officials learned that Joseph Carl “JC†Bailey Jr. passed away in his home at the age of 27. JC was a beloved member of the CZW locker room, and a member of the extended Combat Zone family for nearly a decade. As a performer, JC was fearless. He was renowned and admired by fans and colleagues alike for his toughness, his resilience, and for the undying passion he showed for the sport of Professional Wrestling… the sport he loved. Away from the ring, JC was a true friend to so many people, and today, we all remember him, and mourn his loss. Rest in Peace JC Bailey. www.czwrestling.com Like Trent fairly unsurprising. From his FB: From JC's family - Instead of sending flowers, if you can send $ to help get everything organzied for the funeral it would be much appriciated. - Northside Funeral Home , 627 3rd st. Our Wargames out here in LA in 1988 was Dusty & Lex & RWs & Ellering vs Flair & Barry & Arn & Tully & JJ. JJ worked Wargames through the whole Bash '88 tour. He looked odd in there, but Ellering by the point looked useless as well from a hardcore fan standpoint... though for regular wrestling fans he was a big muscled up guy, so obviously more believable to the fans. Don't have much memories of JJ in the match, though he didn't stand out as being as bad as say Dusty or Ellering in the match. He didn't have quiet the heat that a Cornette or a Heenan had at the time where the fans wanted to see him get his ass kicked. Corny was on the card in the handicap Fants vs MX+Corny match that was going around the horn, and that was an entirely different level of heat on a manager.
