MikeCampbell
Has there been any confirmation of it? Someone posted it on the F4W board, and was waiting for Dave or Bryan to confirm it, but none has come yet. Edit: It was just posted on the F4W site. Dylan Waco
They did nothing with Cornette so really both of these decisions are immaterial.
El-P
Road Dog was still employed? And did I miss something, but weren't Shane Douglas and Raven coming back at some point ? Didn't they vanish pretty soon too ? Can't wait to hear Cornette talk about TNA now that he's not employed there...
Dylan Waco
Road Dog has been a road agent for a while. Douglas was definitely brought in for a short term feud with Daniels that was stupid as fuck and never made any sense. Raven I thought was supposed to be back for good but that didn't last. WrestlingPower
Cornette made a facebook post to the effect of now he can work for wrestling companys he would enjoy working for. I'm guessing Jerry Jarrett's SAW and/or ROH will be calling soon

Guest Corrado
Teddy Long's facial expression after Taker said "Buckle Up teddy" on Smackdown made me laugh for a long time. That has to be the next popular internet meme. That segment btw was reminscent of "Where to Stephanie?"
Bix
How did the phrase "Inoki is love" get in my head? Something wacky he did, an old newsletter joke, or something I made up completely as a joke about the World Wrestling Peace Festival?
S.L.L.
How did the phrase "Inoki is love" get in my head? Something wacky he did, an old newsletter joke, or something I made up completely as a joke about the World Wrestling Peace Festival? Personally, I think it's just common sense. I mean, really, what says "love" like a crazy Japanese wrestling promoter with a giant chin?
Death From Above
I'm voting here for a whole seperate thread where people try and guess what's going on in the mind of Bix. That could be a really good long-running thing.
Guest Talon
Does anybody have any clue what the deal is with this random WWF show from Kuwait in 1985 is all about WWF @ Kuwait - March 14, 1985 Jose Estrada defeated Jack Armstrong The Executioner defeated Archie Raynold Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch defeated Don Muraco & Tiger Chung Lee Pedro Morales & Rocky Johnson fought Mr. Fuji & the Spoiler to a draw I highly doubt the show actually took place given Muraco worked in St. Louis apparently that same night, and Rocky Johnson was working in Pittsburgh the night following. So does anybody know anything as it appears just to be a random one off show
Dylan Waco
With time change it's at least theoretically possible that Muraco could have worked both, no? Still that is an insanely random.
Al
Huh. The exact same card is listed 3/14/84 as well. Probably a slip on Graham's part.
Bix
The Spoiler wasn't in the WWF yet in 3/84, so who knows... I've heard rumblings about obscure WWF Middle Eastern tours from this period but never heard any details before.

I only remember this so much cause it was the first wrestling magazine I ever was bought. It had Piper/Blassie/Sheik etc on the cover from the Cindy Lauper Goonies video. The magazine had pictures, iirc, of Muraco, Fuji, Rocky and Jack Armstrong in 'foreign land'.
Guest Talon
I'd be fascinated at this point to get more info on the shows, like did they do just Kuwait or did they go into Saudi Arabia or Iraq (who were still on friendly terms with us back then as we were helping them with the Iran issue) at all and like what type of crowds did they draw. Or even if they went into Pakistan, actually I would not be surprised if they did given the relationship with Inoki. Inoki ran a tour in Pakistan in 1984 that drew ridiculous numbers of 35 to 40 thousand people a show. I guess the big question is, did WWF have any sort of TV in the area? I can't figure it'd be too far of a stretch given the foreign presence in Kuwait and Dubai, which was fairly big even dating back to the mid 80's. Jingus
Hey Rob, question, something I've been wondering for a while actually. What was the deal with the boys on commentary mentioning you during the first Necro/Joe match? It didn't sound like they were mocking or making fun of you, more like some kind of in-joke that just went over my head. Been curious about it ever since I heard it cuz I recognized the name, just forgot about it til now.

Punk knew how hugely I wanted to see Joe vs. Necro for years, so I think he just had fun with it on commentary. Something I always laughed at was Kingston saying I was "here in the building", when in fact, I was NOT even at that show.
