Cody has just caught fire and sometimes you need to strike when someone gets hot.
C.S. Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 This match is a lot better than I was expecting.
Mad Dog Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 Nice opener to the show. Cody keeps on delivering.
Strummer Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 Must admit hearing Tony Schiavone call wrestling on a Turner station again is awesome
Jmare007 Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 "He's resurrected!" He sure was Jim. And of course a cradle does the job after all those moves Crowd was going apeshit but I just can't get that excited for these type of matches when there's so little reason for me to invest in them going all out like that. But again, if the point was to give those fans a memorable first match, I'm pretty sure they delivered that in spades for them.
Mad Dog Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 That opening video did more to make me care about Sammy Guevara than anything WWE has done in years.
Mad Dog Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 The side by side commercials is a great idea.
NintendoLogic Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 It's a good thing Jericho is such an awesome scumbag, because Cody still wrestles too much like a heel.
Jmare007 Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 If there's one person that can make me tune it is MJF, dude is can't miss.

PeteF3 Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 TV-14, baby! That was a terrific showcase for MJF, who is 100% into his character and knows how to wrestle like a complete and total prick. Everything old is new again.

It's almost like that shit works and Vince just completely lost his way

Boss Rock Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 I think late 2016-early 2017 SDL and most of NXT is proof that TV-PG can work. WWE just sucks at long-term storytelling.
sek69 Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 I wasn't expecting Scorpio Sky to do a good Obama impression, but here we are.
sek69 Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 Also lucha dudes in suits is always money.
William Bologna Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 Hebner getting some “you screwed Bret” chants in the building.
Mad Dog Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 Pentagon in a suit and sneakers is scandalous.
NintendoLogic Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 I keep hearing what a great heel MJF is, but his act is way too over-the-top for me. I can't take him seriously because he makes it blatantly clear that he's working a gimmick.
Mad Dog Posted October 3, 2019 Report Posted October 3, 2019 The pacing is really nice. Everything feels super snappy and not just there to fill space like Raw and Smackdown do.
