C.S. Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 If I were the Khans, I would get Billy on the phone and chew him the fuck out because his employee is an embarrassment who is now reflecting badly on the NWA. Now that Cornette has an NWA commentary gig, he's no longer speaking for only himself. Quote
William Bologna Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 I never realized how much Omega works like Michael Elgin. Which is to say that he’s awful. Quote
C.S. Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 Pac is a channel-changer for me. I actually think Spears and Hager were much smarter WWE castoff hires. Quote
Mad Dog Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 Jericho should always do the facepaint. Quote
Mad Dog Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 This match just went off the rails and I love it. Quote
Mad Dog Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 I wouldn't have had Allin tap but otherwise good main event and episode. Quote
William Bologna Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 Interesting to compare this to the Omega/Janela dark match. Longish, lots of plunder, clear underdog. The big difference is that this was good. Quote
PeteF3 Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 Jericho cheating to defeat an armless man is glorious. Quote

MoS Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 How many people think Jericho right now is genuinely the best he has ever been? Because I absolutely do. I still think they should pull the trigger on Cody at Full Gear though. The fans are molten for him. Quote

I think his ringwork has taken a couple of steps back this year but the rest of his act is just top notch right now. He might be the best act in the United States right now. Quote
goodhelmet Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 This was the first time I have watched an entire episode live on TV. I know people have been critical of JR but i thought he was good. This booth is so refeshing to hear compared with every single WWE announce team in the last 10 years. The show was a little tag heavy for my tastes but it was such an easy show to watch. I didn't like everything but I didn't ever feel like changing the channel. I really liked the main event. I like that Jericho takes his time and doesn't rush anything. Darby Allin is such a special talent and I loved the tape spots. Overall, positive first experience watching Dynamite. Quote

I have a feeling the MJF turn will happen at Full Gear (even though it's too soon IMO because barely anything has been established on TV) and he'll join The Inner Circle. Quote
SirEdger Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 They could but at the same time, we all know MJF will turn on Cody; it's a matter of time. I won't see a massive uproar if Jericho retains at Full Gear but tons of heel heat for MJF. Quote
PeteF3 Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 I'd really rather MJF be kept apart from the Inner Circle, whether he turns or not. Quote
PeteF3 Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 Also, I almost feel like they have to take the belt off Jericho at least temporarily if he's going to be working Wrestle Kingdom, unless Gedo decides to put him over Tanahashi and confirm that plan with Chris beforehand. Which isn't impossible, I guess, but I don't find it likely. Quote
MoS Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 I'm also interested to see where Mox fits in the larger main event scene. They have done a much better job of building PAC as a star than I had expected. Page is not working at the main event level though. He can be Hager's first victory in a match. Quote

John Hawk Bradshaw and Bobby Duncam Jr. want to have a word with their lawyers. Page needs to seriously overhaul his look and gimmick. Maybe being "The Hangman" worked when he was the outlaw cowboy of The Bullet Club or whatever, but it absolutely does not work outside that context. Not even a little bit. Imagine if they had put the title on this goof. Quote
goodhelmet Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 I'm neutral on PAC. They are pushing him as a star but I have zero emotional attachment to him. On the other hand, I actively look forward to seeing Moxley because the rejection of his WWE career, in character and performance, is fascinating to watch. Quote

PeteF3 Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 Luchasaurus apparently tore his hamstring earlier today, so he's going to be out for a good while. Quote
goodhelmet Posted October 17, 2019 Report Posted October 17, 2019 That sucks... but in a weird way, if they are smart, they bring him out to a huge debut as a singles, once he is healed. Quote
