So I'm wondering how JBL got to Orlando for this. IIRC he still lives in Bermuda, so unless he got stuck somewhere in the US when this all first went down, it's eyebrow raising that he somehow got here.

There is no way in hell that this would be the 2nd match on the show if WM was normal.

You know, I never would’ve figured that there would be a way to make a Baron Corbin match even less enjoyable…but here we are.

Say what you want about Mauro, but his high energy and genuine enthusiasm would've helped this particular show. Cole's fake excitement is grating on my nerves even more than usual. 

I, too, am wondering about JBL, since he lives in Bermuda. Guess he's stuck in Orlando now?

Was able to skip most of it by making myself a sandwich. But I truly despise this new attitude that everyone on the fucking roster HAS to have a match at Mania, the fuck is it gained by giving us this weekly TV matchup tonight?

Baszler vs Lynch next. I still think this will be great. Technical matches tend to work okay without an audience.

If this had a crowd it would've gotten the best spot on the show. Hour 2 is the sweet spot for these damn Mania marathons.

Playing catch up:

Women's tag was fun. I don't think I've seen much of either team. Kairi and Bliss matched up from a size and perkiness perspective. The shine had lots of fireworks (and dives) with the heels really working for the transition. There were about three hot tags, all of which were hurt due to the lack of a crowd and not quite enough anticipation. The match probably would have been served better with one longer one with Bliss since she did well with her hope spots (though having Asuka to cut her off helped). Using both the twisted bliss and the big elbow drop as ways to break up pins was cute and effective. Finish felt really flat without a crowd. I'm not sure what else you can say but that.

I am surprised that Byron Saxton didn't yell ONE FALL.  Saxton's rental tux is pretty funny

That Lynch entrance didn't work. Just awkward. The sound of Baszler hitting Lynch with stiff kicks in front of no-one is giving me Battlarts flashbacks.
