KawadaSmile Posted September 18, 2023 Report Posted September 18, 2023 OVW, MLW and AEW alumni are reported to have had tryouts at the performance center. Maybe this finally is the time they get Hammerstone or Jacob Fatu? Quote
NintendoLogic Posted September 18, 2023 Report Posted September 18, 2023 Interesting choice for a stadium show location. Perth is famous for being the most isolated big city in the world, so the fly-in crowd will likely be close to nonexistent. I wonder if the show will end up being heavily papered, especially since paid attendance is largely moot if the city is paying to host. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted September 19, 2023 Author Report Posted September 19, 2023 Cody is staying super over without having a single damn feud going. Quote
sek69 Posted September 19, 2023 Report Posted September 19, 2023 I love that KO is basically the only person on Raw who's been watching the show for the last three years and just won't be pals with Jey. Quote

I loved the pairing with MJF & Alexander Hammerstone back in the day as The Dynasty. Really hope he can get signed. Quote
Blehschmidt Posted September 19, 2023 Report Posted September 19, 2023 Who else is at the PC other than Jade and Holliday? Quote
NintendoLogic Posted September 19, 2023 Report Posted September 19, 2023 https://www.bodyslam.net/2023/09/18/exclusive-list-of-names-receiving-wwe-tryout-this-week-at-performance-center/ Looks like Holliday is the only name of note. Hammerstone and Fatu are still under contact to MLW as far as I know, and WWE will likely shy away from them as long as the lawsuit is ongoing. And if I were Jade, I would feel insulted if I had to try out at the PC with a bunch of former Dark/Elevation jobbers. Quote
Blehschmidt Posted September 19, 2023 Report Posted September 19, 2023 Good for Jazmin Allure. I always liked what I saw of her on Dark. Quote

Imagine if Jade is somehow rejected after the tryout, and WWE purposely leaks that story to make AEW look bad. Never doubt human pettiness. Quote
strobogo Posted September 20, 2023 Report Posted September 20, 2023 There is zero chance that Jade is at the PC to try out. She would be there like an orientation, to see the facilities, to see the differences in the ring/ropes/cameras, and so on. Quote
sek69 Posted September 20, 2023 Report Posted September 20, 2023 They've been doing good so far, but having the Native American wrestler who uses his heritage as part of his gimmick do what historically been called an "Indian Strap Match" seems like it's pushing things. Quote
sek69 Posted September 20, 2023 Report Posted September 20, 2023 So I guess the Becky-Tiff extreme rules match is going to be Becky's "Mick Foley putting over Triple H" moment. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted September 20, 2023 Author Report Posted September 20, 2023 Tiff getting a win there would surprise me. I always thought she was good (honestly, the contrast between her pre-debut vignettes and her very first match were mind blowing), but she is easily one of the best rookies (she barely has 2 years of experience under her belt) in this generation. KawadaSmile Posted September 21, 2023 Author Report Posted September 21, 2023 With apparently the writers' strike getting close to an end, will we see The Rock and Cena the next few months? I don't think so. Quote
Strummer Posted September 21, 2023 Report Posted September 21, 2023 looks like Ali has quit WWE Quote
Timbo Slice Posted September 21, 2023 Report Posted September 21, 2023 Nope. Part of a list of releases. He had asked for his many times and was granted. Riddick Moss, Elias, Emma, Aaliyah, and Rick Boogs also confirmed. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted September 21, 2023 Author Report Posted September 21, 2023 Rick Boogs and Riddick not getting used by HHH at all pisses me off. Top Dolla also got the axe Quote
KawadaSmile Posted September 21, 2023 Author Report Posted September 21, 2023 Dolph Ziggler was released. What's Dirk Nemeth doing in the All Elite Area? Quote

Stiva Posted September 21, 2023 Report Posted September 21, 2023 Ah man, Ziggler is absolutely going to show up in AEW and I can’t be bothered with it Quote
MLB Posted September 21, 2023 Report Posted September 21, 2023 Do you guys think Ziggler will get a title run in AEW? Quote

KawadaSmile Posted September 23, 2023 Author Report Posted September 23, 2023 The Profits being a red herring for the New Hurt Business in Melo and Trick would be good stuff. Quote
sek69 Posted September 23, 2023 Report Posted September 23, 2023 Using the women's tag title curse as a way to add Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn back into the mix was some brilliant stuff. Quote
