sek69 Posted February 1, 2024 Report Posted February 1, 2024 I fully expect Okada Bucks to be falling from the ceiling in AEW soon enough. Quote
sek69 Posted February 1, 2024 Author Report Posted February 1, 2024 Lucha guys in the front row! CMLL invasion! Quote
sek69 Posted February 1, 2024 Author Report Posted February 1, 2024 I was being glib, but apparently we are having a CMLL invasion after all, lol Quote
Jmare007 Posted February 1, 2024 Report Posted February 1, 2024 Hechicero vs Danielson at Collision. Let's buy that plane ticket for Panther next, Tony! Quote
Blehschmidt Posted February 1, 2024 Report Posted February 1, 2024 Ricky Starks posting pictures of himself on Twitter with Gypsy Rose Blanchard backstage at this show wasn't something I was expecting to see! Danielson vs Hechicero should be really good. Quote
sek69 Posted February 1, 2024 Author Report Posted February 1, 2024 The Young Bucks as thinly veiled Vince avatars is somehow so far just straddling the line considering the last week. Leaning in to the "out of touch douchebag promoter" aspect sure helps. Quote
sek69 Posted February 1, 2024 Author Report Posted February 1, 2024 Even allowing that being an undersized ass-kicker is part of Hook's legacy, him vs Brian Cage is just silly from a visual standpoint. Quote
sek69 Posted February 1, 2024 Author Report Posted February 1, 2024 They gotta be strapping up Swerve at Revolution. Quote
Timbo Slice Posted February 1, 2024 Report Posted February 1, 2024 I watched Okada’s debut from 2022 when he showed up before the Forbidden Door 4-way and man it’s like night and day how hot the promotion was then vs. now. I’m not sure how you get that back with this group given the young guys aren’t exactly lighting the world on fire outside of Swerve, really. All the other folks are tied up in other ways or just ineffective. Quote
...TG Posted February 4, 2024 Report Posted February 4, 2024 So jealous of Bryan Keith's serape. And I love the little kids in the front row, very wholesome atmosphere. Quote
...TG Posted February 4, 2024 Report Posted February 4, 2024 Bryan v Hechicero was a heck of a lot of fun. The poor referee was thoroughly confused during the finishing sequence, but no big deal, a fine match. Quote
Jmare007 Posted February 4, 2024 Report Posted February 4, 2024 Talk about a showcase, Hechicero did 95% of that match and took full advantage of it. Made Danielson look like an amateur. Quote
Blehschmidt Posted February 4, 2024 Report Posted February 4, 2024 Both Kingston/Keith and Hechicero/Danielson were fantastic. Great start to a show. Quote
Mr Wrestling 2000 Posted February 4, 2024 Report Posted February 4, 2024 real good shows this week. I thought bryan was gonna lose so many times in that match Quote
strobogo Posted February 5, 2024 Report Posted February 5, 2024 Has there ever been a crowd so loud and hot in a half empty arena on television before? My goodness was that a great crowd. Quote
Badlittlekitten Posted February 5, 2024 Report Posted February 5, 2024 I was hoping they were gonna switch it up with HOOK post-Joe and push him as an underneath babyface while developing his promo game. Instead they doubled down on the Goldberg thing which is kinda dead now. Hechicero vs Danielson was awesome. My current MOTY. Quote
Coffey Posted February 5, 2024 Report Posted February 5, 2024 You can't book Hook like Taz because Hook looks like a 16-year-old that would get bullied in high school. It's ridiculous watching him throw around grown men. It's too far of a leap in the suspension of disbelief land. It doesn't work. That fucking nickname of "cold-hearted handsome devil" ain't doing him any goddamn favors either. Also, just call it the fucking Tazmission. Quote
strobogo Posted February 5, 2024 Report Posted February 5, 2024 Hook's hair looks completely silly now, too. There was a point during the Team Taz era where his hair was interesting and unique, but now he just looks like he has a bad bowl cut. Sure he can do suplexes and shit, but much of the most basic stuff in the ring he still looks extremely green. I know there was talk about Taz really wanting him to go to NXT and I think he's a guy that very much would benefit from training at the PC and doing his reps in NXT and random small Florida towns for a while. Also Tony Khan is a COWARD if he doesn't book a Kingston vs Scott Norton chopfest sprint at some point. I know that mf most likely is a member here and at least reads if not posts. Do a Norton vs Kingston triple crown man in Colorado you coward. Quote
Timbo Slice Posted February 5, 2024 Report Posted February 5, 2024 I’ve rarely seen Bryan look as shook as he was when Hechicero was doing his craziest shit. Like it was unsettling and a rush all at once. That alone was worth the pairing. Quote
sek69 Posted February 5, 2024 Author Report Posted February 5, 2024 Dude has been dying to wrestle lucha guys for decades now, he was probably trying to hide how much he was internally geeking out. Quote
sek69 Posted February 5, 2024 Author Report Posted February 5, 2024 Holy shit, next Collision has Orange Cassidy vs Ishii. TK must have purchased the old WAR random 6 man generator and is using it to book the undercard. Quote

Speaking of which, I thought Joe on announcing just grinning like crazy watching the match between Swerve and RVD was half him playing his character and half him being all "Look at that old mofo go !". RVD looked pretty amazing, all things considered. Still haven't watched Collision, like every week now. Can't wait to see Danielson marking out at doing CMLL stuff. Quote
Timbo Slice Posted February 5, 2024 Report Posted February 5, 2024 It was pretty obvious Hechicero was looking for certain times for Bryan to feed him and things looked clunky and then Hechicero did it anyway. Dude is a fucking maestro’s maestro. Quote
KawadaSmile Posted February 7, 2024 Report Posted February 7, 2024 I mean, dude's ring name is literally WIZARD. He was doing some gnarly holds seamlessly AND was torching Bryan with strikes. Gimme him vs Claudio, I'm sure that big fella has flexibility. Quote
